Can't Decide between Stormcloaks or Imperials...

Ya know the Foreswarn wouldn't be so bad if they weren't constantly trying to kill everybody. Of course, somebody needs to talk to their weapons makers. Their stuff is just friggin' lame and looks completely cobbled together.

Still that stone sword does more or equal damage to skyforge steel sword :/

The looks dont bother me, but damage does. I mean seriously, you tie some stones to a stick with some leather and you have a weapon that is as good as the weapon of the best blacksmith in entire skyrim

They're VERY good rocks and sticks. Maybe those, oh, what are they called, you know, the skinny guys with the horns on their heads that shoot spells at you... something hearts... put some sort of spell on them.

So maybe replacing my bow with a sling or preferably just some random rocks will beat the best craftable bow

Yeah I helped the foresworn at first, but afterwards I didn't feel anything liberating about it, dead bodies everywhere and the citizens were in terror and I was just left with some cave man half reindeer bullplops costume, I was like hmm.. yeah no and loaded an older save and shanked that fluffer, lol.

It isnt liberating. That guy was sending young men to death for years. And is all about killing all non-forsworn

The Nazis didn't go around killing jews at first either. It was only after they established themselves. The Stormcloak view of racial superiority, with the Nords being the superior race, is strikingly similar to the Nazi view that the Aryans were the superior race.

They dont see themselves as superior race. All they are saying is and I quote:
"Skyrim belongs to the Nords"

In order for the Stormcloaks to be successful, he has to plant the idea of racial superiority. At first, observers might think it is just "national or racial pride", but if the Stormcloaks are successful in driving out the Legion and establishing power in Skyrim, the next step would be racial purification. The same thing happened in Germany. It's all in history. The Nazi party segregated and robbed the jewish people, then once the Nazi's became more powerful they imprisoned them because they weren't Aryan. We all know what happened next.

I'm not saying Ulfric would do the exact same thing as the Nazi's, just that the similarities are undeniable in what the Nazis did with the SA, then later the SS.

Windhelm is an ancient city of 4000 years of age, first human city on the continent. It has massive walls and also has nowhere to expand. It isnt like the number of elves grew gradualy or something. It just hapened, after the eruption they just showed up. They are given lodgings but what do you expect, that Ulfric tears down the city walls and build mansions for them? There is only soo much buildable space in the city. Also Dark elves, even though they were granted residence and certainly more secure lives than if thrown out of the city walls still dont join the stormcloaks. Now what do you expect people to behave?


You get a neigbor from easter europe and your country is in a war and he just say nah, it aint my problem...
As you can imagine people wouldnt really treat him nicely.

I'm assuming that this is your supposition? Being Norwegian myself, I can tell you with some authority that we Nords are somewhat xenophobic in that we do not trust outsiders and that it takes a long time for an outsider to gain our trust, but I never got the impression that the Stormcloaks were in to racial purification for Skyrim. While there is some xenophobia evident, I don't think that "Skyrim for the Nords" was neccesarily a threat. I certainly hope not. I would hate to think that this was the idea. While I can understand a level of resentment from the Nords to being a conquered people, I do not think that they are that radicalized.

What can he do? He's a Jarl. He could make some laws against dunmer persecution. And, plenty of people in america don't agree with the wars in the Middle East, so if we don't agree with the so-called "cause" of turning the Middle East into a democracy, should we leave america?

Now they're called lesser beings due to their race, their living area isn't patrolled by guards, they feel unsafe down there. You would fight for a group that mistreats you and insults you since day one of Ulfric becoming Jarl, then all of a sudden they go into rebellion and after all they have done to you they expect you to throw up the colors going "Which way boss?"

Its not like todays war in middle east. It is a war on home turf. Everyone needs to pitch in. If you dont pitch in and help your neighbours, your country etc then what a hell do you want?
I dont agree with war in middle east and all that. But if my country was invaded I can hate the government and dislike the president but I would still do my duty.

The question is why should he do it? They arent pitching in so why should he pitch in for them? Since they clearly have no intention of joining the cause or suport their city.
