Unfortunately that doesn't work. They are immortal for the civil war quest line so that they cannot be killed off before they give you their quests. However the immortality is never stripped after they are not needed. There is no way to fix this without mods or console commands.

Are you playing on pc? I only ask as my friend likes to play with god mode on now that he beat the game once and as long as god mode is on enchantements do not get used up

Unfortunately since you are on console there really isn't anything you can do other than look in all your storage places as well as some of the dungeons you have been to just before losing it. Other than that, sorry dude. On pc it is a simple fix.

It is also possible he is doing what I do, play my pc version on my tv, the same tv I have my xbox connected to. I am calling fake on this.

They are still labeled as essential even though the war is over. So it is impossible to kill them. There are mods on pc that fix this but console owners just have to deal with it. Sorry.

I have talked to him but all he says is how well the guild is doing and how he likes veing the guild master. thats it. This is especially annoying because I made this character specifically to be a thief character, and at lvl 52 now I am not really willing to start over
