OOC (18+) The Hunt

Alright, sorry I haven't posted in so long guys, but I'll try to get one up now. Also, I think Argus' informant will be one of the Dunmer beggars. I mean, who ever notices a beggar? And they usually see everything.

Well in one book, Boba planted a cache of weapons in a Hutt thrown room when it was being built in anticipation of the Hutts one day having a bounty on them. He knew he wouldn't be able to fight his way through all of their guards and that he wouldn't be able to get an audience with them if he had his weapons. The cache also had a power cell for one of the cybernetic bounty hunters that he brought with him. Once he blew the cahce open, he used the cell to activate the cyborges weapons and blast his way out, killing the Hutts in the process.

And Jango was most famous for his reputation as a Jedi killer (although the movies really made him look like a panzy.) In his most famed battle he killed six Jedi with his bare hands. One on one it was hard to find a match for him. He really just suffered from heroism or whatever thats called. He couldn't very well have killed Windu or Kenobi because it would have ruined the plot.

Wait a minute, I thought Jango was also famous for wiping out the Death Watch? Or at least until Dred Priest and his wackjob of a girlfriend brought them back.

Well yes he was, but I'm inclined to think that that wouldn't have been so mainstream. That mostly concerned mandalorians whereas him killing a bunch of Jedi was sure to spread rumors everywhere.

And yeah, I was just thinking that we could just say what our informant does for a living and that would pretty well dictate what sort of information they could give. I was thinking that Adens contact would be an area commander with the Aldmeri forces.

Hopefully everyone gets there preferred contact up by tonight, and I can start sending you tidbits of information.

I'm going to use one informant for both Derek and Kyle. That way I don't snatch someone elses idea.
Anyways, their informant is an 'freighter/pirate' captain. He operates legally in the sector, but just barely.

Ha. No. He's much too shady for that. But I thought it would make sense for smugglers to be hanging around Eregin. Easy to get paid running supplies to the soldiers, and...other things.

Okay, so it looks like everyone has picked out an informant. I'll start PMing you guys pieces of info.
I'm not going to make a group convo, just so that way each of us has a piece of information no one else does. I won't be telling you exactly how to find your contacts or anything, that parts up to you.

And Simus, I know I left Jessica out of it, but seeing as she's just following Marek around and isn't exactly a bounty hunter herself, I didn't think she'd have any contacts on the planet. Let me know if I'm wrong. I'll start sending now.

Actually I was going to have her contact the Red Sabres for info. I stated In my CC that she's been a full member since ATS and would have heard of her capture. They'll want to know she's alive anyway. I was going to have Jess contact Ria so Shaded could just write a reply since it's her character. If she's up for it. Or Jess could write Jon if Drahkma doesn't mind writing for him.

I just want Jess to show herself as more of an independent team member and less of a useless hanger-on.

So...uhh..about my post. Like, just being honest, was it horrible? I mean, as a writer, i feel like i'm losing that gift, that extra...UMPH. You know? I don't know. I feel like it's getting harder. I could really use some advice on this, because honestly...i'm scared.

Scared? What for? I thought it was awesome. I'm guessing Kraguul fiddled with a gearbox on the side of the pod rather than opening it? Cause that would break the stasis loop cycle thing. That's the worst part of the post and that 'a a very minor nitpick.

Remember that writing is hard, and the more posts we write the more ordinary it seems. I've felt that myself. The only thing that's changed is our perception though. You've become just as good a writer as me or anyone else here and you should be proud of that. We just sometimes have to throw up a quick post that's just good and not great. That's okay. I've been here long enough to see great writers, okay writers who get better with time and effort and bad writers with a head up their bunghole. Sometimes I have to remember that I'm old and jaded now and that I had to learn how to do this like everybody else. I also have to remember that even the best writers can get slow and sloppy from a taxing amount of RP's. When that happens you take a break, refresh your brain, sleep on it and when you have two hours write a slow, patient post I get your confidence back.

But that's just me :)

Thanks man. I think i will take a break for a while. Sometime tomorrow i'll take a quick nap, eat something or whatever, just relax, and get back to this. I just need a lot of rest and a bit of inspiration to get me going again. I'm really tired. Like, 'pass out during work' kinda tired.
