Another thing that may give you an edge is to remember you can poison arrows just like you can a sword. Equip your bow, then select a poison and it will poison the "next" arrow.
If you combine canis root with either imp stool or swamp fungal pod, it will give you a paralysis poison, which has saved my bacon more than once. Don't use imp stool and swamp fungal together though, or it will paralyze them but also increase health.
Likewise, deathbell and river betty gives you a poison that both slows them down and does damage. Deathbell and salt will do slow only.
Nirn root and red mountain flower will give you a damage health poison.

I can do better necklace but my character and her Role Playing style, i do not do alchemy and smithing and no magic EXCEPT i gave in on letting her do enchanting, and changed her background rp to except enchanting lol 
now next character ill work on and and make this summer ( i have tons of new games coming from feb-july so ill be pretty busy with those games besides this character i am having a blast with) will be a warrior/mage type like a spell sword then ill work his role play background ect.. and will take magic, smithing, alchemy and enchanting.
But for now i promised myself to keep to way my character is now and her role play style
