Alchemy

I'm lvling up my alchemy right now in order to craft fortify enchanting potion (not for the "loop" thing). I just want 25% potion.

So will I be able to make 25% fortify enchanting potion with 100 in Alchemy and two pieces of equipment with 25% fortify alchemy or I need to invest some points in Alchemy branch?

Without using the loop you can make fortify alchemy equipment with a higher rating than 25% which would in turn help you make better potions without perks in your Alchemy, but that will also depend on the perks you have in enchanting. I think either way its gonna cost some perks for some better potions. You can also use up to four pieces of fortified alchemy equipment at once. Helmet/Circlet, Gloves/Bracers, Ring, and Necklace.

My favorite combination of ingredients for leveling purposes only is Blue Butterfly Wing, Blue Mountain Flower and Blisterwort. These three ingredients are very common and are easily found and when combined produce the effects of Damage Magicka Regen, Damage Stamina, Fortify Conjuration, and Restore Health all in one potion so each one made produces a good bump in your alchemy skill for some easy to locate ingredients. They also sell for some good coin.

Blue Mountain Flower, Glowing Mushrooms, and Nightshade also produces a pretty potent concoction. I sometimes prefer using this second recipe for leveling because the Blue Butterfly Wing is also one of the common ingredients for a fortify enchanting potion so I don't like to use too many up, but then again I can always walk outside and catch more butterflies.

If you only want a 25% fortify enchanting potion then just buy them and don't worry yourself with leveling alchemy. Also the ones you buy last for 60 seconds, if you make them yourself they only last for 30, so if you're doing a lot of enchanting in one hit you'll need the extra time.

If you have 100% in Alchemy, you can have up to 25% Alchemy Enchanting added to your item. What I don't know is if you just need to have 100% without any perk or you need to have perks up to Benefactor to get that level of enchanting. I do have perks up to Benefactor and I do get 25%. If you want to go higher than that, I think you need to use the loop and find out by yourself what will you get by investing such amount of ingredients. Alchemy, Enchanting and Smithing are your best allies in the game. Use them as you please. Good luck and happy gaming.
