Curious Mew
I'm curious!
I met the dreaded level cap in Skyrim and decided to start with a new character. This time around I have downloaded Hearthfire and the Dawnguard DLC, which so far has been quite a refreshing experience
I'm level 10 at the moment, but I've suddenly noticed this annoying a** Orc running around trying to grab my attention about the Dawnguard DLC. It seemed that immediately after the Dawnguard quest had initiated, a day had passed and I noticed a dead vamp on the ground in Whiterun. A nearby guard had suggested there were vampire problems, and I immediately realized the vamp on the ground was directly related to the death of my beloved blacksmith, Arianne Avenicci.
This is unacceptable. I like her character and depend on her for selling/buying, etc. I'm not interested in uninstalling the DLC, in doing so I'm afraid I might glitch or lose inventory/items/areas associated with the content of that DLC.
So my question is, how can I avoid the DLC without uninstalling it? I've tried hunkering low and avoiding the guards (they can start the quest too), and I still notice the vamps in the daytime. This quest is quickly becoming an unexpected nuisance. Even worse.. I'm not even sure the quest is the reason for the killings, it could be that I finally reached a level that triggered the madness. Please help.
