PS3 Good Companions?

Im level 39 at the moment and playing a duel wielding, light armoured redguard, and basically i need a good reliable follower that wont get in the way when im attacking someone, any ideas?

I found that Stenvar is a very good help. Vilkas and Farkas seemed to get in the way more.

Id go either a Ranger like Aela of the Companions, or a Caster like Marcurio.

I would go with a mage like j'zargo or an archer like faendal (faendal will also give you archery training up to level 50 and you can take the money you spent back out of his inventory in the trade menu)

I would go for an archer. Aela or Faendal. Or Jenassa, she is a good archer and a good melee fighter too.

Or you can go for a caster but THAT DOESN'T FANCY FIREBALL. Eola is nice if you can assume her bad habits... no spoiler here.
