Guilds seem...bad...

Lets be honest here the guilds are nothing compared to the one's in Oblivion. They seem to short... and easy. Remember in Oblivion when you had to steal the elder scroll for the thieves guild? Yea that pl*ps was hard. Now, you are killing people in the thieves guild. Dark brotherhood storyline was so boring. I liked the twist in the Dark brotherhood in Oblivion. I liked when you had to kill the person but you had to make it look like it was an accident or it was someone else. Now you just find the person wait till there are no guards and just one hit them.. Whats the fun in that? The college (mage guild) was pretty fun. I suppose getting the staff of mangus was very hard. But other than that they were just plain. Your thoughts?

The guilds do seem somewhat incomplete compared to oblivion. Don't get me wrong they're a ton of fun and the loot is incredible, but in a word they seem.. rushed. They use the excuse that the thieves guild and Dark Brotherhood have lost power and thus will take any jobs available - yeah it seems pretty convenient that both guilds have fallen on hard times. I was most upset that there isn't even a clearly defined fighter's guild. Obviously the companions are the spiritual successor to the fighter's guild but they only operate in one city and advancement is based upon willingness to get freaky and furry rather than completing contracts for customers. *sigh* I miss the old days when I was dropping stuffed mooses (meece?) on peoples heads and sneaking past dumdum bodyguards to get paid. My roommate did most of the college's quests but I'm sure I could find a reason to complain about those if I did them.

I never played the mage guild in oblivion so I wouldn't know if it was better or worse lol. But your right about the companions. Also I hate how they threw out the ranks. I very much enjoyed going up in ranks in oblivion

Right?? I never roll a mage but the mage's guild quests were still fun in Oblivion. I just carried them out assassin style.
