Guilds

Am just starting out and have seen a bit about guilds, i.e. the college of magic, the companions etc.

Is it possible to join multiple guilds or can you only be in one at a time?

You can join as many guilds as you like at any time and become guild master of all of them. There may be some bugs that you may encounter because of quest conflicts but if there are I was fortunate enough to dodge them all.
