Alright im a level 27 wood elf and im predominitly a mage character (or at least i want to be) . I have two sets of gear, my mage gear and mele gear for when im getting slaugthered and need extra protection.
MAGE GEAR
Archmage robes
Moreki mask
Savos arens amulet
Ring of heath (adds 20 healthpoints)
Orisch guantlets (fine)
Steel Plate boots (fine)

MELEE GEAR
Steel plate armour of eminent destruction (destruction spells 20% less)
Steel plate helmet(fine)
Falmer sheild(fine)
Oricsh guantlets(fine)
Steel plate boots(fine)
Ring of health
Gualdur amulet or savos arens amulet which is better?
And my weopon is Mace of Malog Bai

I kinda want to streemline my sets into one so i can have leas weight to carry is there better mage gear out there or something? I mostly use destruction magic and am kinda starting to get into conjuration. Any advice on my setup or of theres better gear out there i need to find would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Your best bet would be to level Enchanting. It's a hell of a grind, but if you can get to Twin Souls, you'll be able to improve your armor to the point where it's comparable to some of the mage gear you have. The Mace of Molag Bal is perfect because it has Soul Trap; just keep it filled up, and keep a ready stock of soul gems, and you'll be rolling in souls in no time.

I'd also recommend improving Heavy Armor to get the perk which reduces armor weight to 0; you'll then effectively have the best of both worlds - weightlessness and buffs, and armor protection. Just let a skeever hit you for a few hours and keep yourself healed.

Finally you might want to work on your Smithing and go the Dwarven/Orcish/Ebony route. You'll be able to make yourself a killer set of armor, and then you can enchant it with the buffs you want. You'd do well to grab the Notched Pickaxe from the top of the Throat of the World, and then just do a few runs of Dwarven ruins and mines (check out the UESP wiki http://www.uesp.net/ for locations of different ores).

I won't lie; this will be a long-term plan and will require a lot of time investment. But the results will be worth it; you'll be smacking down dragon priests without a care in the world. :)

Thank You! I spent all last night leveling my character and i got conjuration up to 90 and Heavy armor up to 75 so i can get that perk now! Now i will begin on smithing and enchanting. Any advice on how to level those up quickly?

Chryss has it right; iron daggers are the way to go. Iron daggers until you get a new armor perk, then make your new set of armor, then back to daggers.

For enchanting you mainly want to aim for high-value end items, as these will increase your Enchanting fastest. Look for Fortify Skill armor enchants or Soul Trap on weapons.
