Role playing fun if you do it right just figure out what kind if character you want to play come up with a basic back story and decide what kind of personality he/she has really think about their motivations and tryto make it different from your own these pages helped me a lot when I first starte to role playCan any skyrim roleplayers give me any tips?

I agree. Since I have Oblivion now I have a better background, but I do find myself talking to NPCs non-dialogue-wise all the time. What's frightening is when they answer! Oh those voices in my head...I think it's a good idea to plan out what your new character's major goals will be.
What skills will you focus on?
What quests do you feel suit your character's personality?
Which guild or faction will you join?
Will you take a side in the war or try to remain neutral?
Which NPCs will you form friendships with?
Will you be establishing a home in any particular hold? If so, what will be your reason for choosing that place?
I find back stories quite difficult to come up with, because I haven't played any other elder Scrolls games, so my knowledge of countries other than Skyrim is VERY limited. So it may be easier to imagine your character already lived in Skyrim before he or she was captured and taken to Helgen. Sure, all characters in the game are programmed to talk to you as if you've met them for the first time, but I just imagine different dialogue happening at certain events. It's kind of important to not let your imagination be completely restricted by how things occur in the game.
Ya otherwise you may seem a bit insaneoh yes, keep all conversations in your head. But I do swear out loud when I get annoyed at something in the game!
In your head? Really? Maybe that's why my neighbors and family have been giving me weird looks lately. Now that I think about it... even the cat has started to avoid me. Hmmm....oh yes, keep all conversations in your head. But I do swear out loud when I get annoyed at something in the game!
