Is it just me, maybe I'm going about killing an ice troll wrongly but I find them harder to kill than an actual dragon!

I mean after 3 hits from one I'm on my last breath! Where as from a dragon I can take a few hits plus dragons always seem to focus there attacks on my Shadowmere and not me very strange..

You got any fire magic, Critical? Like fireball or whatever? Ice trolls don't take too kindly to fire.

Nope I'm strictly about melee and bows, I mean I can take one down with the bow/sneak shot if I keep my distance but if one catches me by surprise I seems to be killed off very quickly, unlike with a dragon, I seem to be able to take there ice/fire breaths/melee hits easily, maybe I should throw some fire damage or something on a bow...
 
You should still have some fire skills in your inventory, even though they might be on the low side. If you have them, use flames and/or fireball. The former's a melee-type, the latter a ranged. That would also boost your skill points, helping you level up.

No worries, mate. I actually ran away from my first ice troll. Riding Shadowmere, he sprinted us the hell outta there. :D
 
I have found dragons piss easy so far...don't think I have been killed by one yet (I'm level 20). Have been killed by sabre cats, mammoths, groups of mages, etc. but not dragons. While dragons are way fun, I am surprised they are so easy, even this early in the game.
 
I believe the elder dragons start appearing around lv.40. The most powerful dragons are the ancient dragons. They start appearing around lv.50.
 
Yeah it is one thing I have noticed. At lower levels, because they scale and trolls and sabre cats don't, dragons are easy peasy compared to them. I run up to a dragon I run from the others at early levels. It just doesn't seem right. Ya know.
 
Dwarven ball master robot thing I just fought was my toughest yet...even had to use potions for the first time! Did just increase the difficulty as well, though...

I faced them in a cave whilst doing one of the main quests! Well I think it's them, there was Falmer in there aswell
 
Yeah this was a winter hall college quest. There were heaps of standard ones and falmar, but the one at the end was a "master". Bloody tough. >350 magicka of destruction to take it down and 2 hits would kill me.
 
Good on ya mate. Just sharing an experience. At level 21, it was way tougher than any ice troll, sabre cat, or dungeon "boss" I have faced yet.
