If you were to be an evil villain...

Imperial Rogue. Wanted by Nobles and Lords, from High Rock to Cyrodiil for bedding their wives and daughters. Thief by trade, lover by hobby.

Drunken, u are seriously obsessed with imperials on this game, u should seek help. -_-

Imperials had the personality bonus. Seemed logical.

"Personality Bonus"????
i have no clue what he's talking about either, i don't even think he knows. lmao
I think he is talking about Oblivion, There are no Personality Bonuses in Skyrim but you could say because Imperials see the world in the Most Cosmopolitan view to other races that they would be the most outgoing and on average the most likeable people in Tamriel

That must be it cuz they certainly aren't likable in Skyrim, the very first image of the game is them leading u off to a public beheading for nothing more than having your presence in there area, yeesh... in my view there actually worse than bandits cuz they actually believe there actions are somehow noble, despite the fact that they murder anyone who doesn't accept there thalmor influenced laws. Yarl Ulfric has certainly done some terrible things but at least his cause is just.

Just what? Hopeless, misguided, bigotted, xenophobic, genocidal? Not that there's anything wrong with any of those reasons. If they are the reasons then he doesn't really seem to be looking at the larger picture. Not a shocker really. Oops... maybe I should go over to the "Imperials vs. Stormcloaks, which is better?" thread. :)

Not totally sure what your saying here but if your refering to my comment on yarl ulfric being "just" in his cause i'll say this, i dunno how u look at it but if i lived in a country that was being invaded by elfs who had the intent of making slaves of us all i'd hope we had someone brave enough to form together an army to fight them back instead of bending to there will like the imperial legion.

My thoughts are well known on the subject. As a student of world geo-politics I have a tendancy to apply the long view to almost any conflict or set of conflicts, be they in real life or in a fantasy situation and run the odds on the eventual outcomes of each set of actions 50, 100 or more years in to the future. While I fully understand Ulfrich and many of the Stormcloak's position, I fear that the short term gain will only hamstring and effort in the future to make actual headway against the Dominion. In game, while I have played both sides and am much more familiar with the lore and political climate in the time setting of this game than I was when I first played the Stormcloaks, I am a pragmatist and, while I admire the underdog, I very rarely route for the longshot or lost cause bearing in mind the lives, livelihoods, economic stability and overall long term success of a society over idealism and pride.

Again, i have no idea what your saying here. lol

Overanalyzing a friggin' video game of course! My life is so empty... :( :)

"Personality Bonus"????
i have no clue what he's talking about either, i don't even think he knows. lmao

Talking about Oblivion, hence why I put up a picture of a character class from Oblivion. Though perhaps I should of guessed there would be people who are new to Elder Scrolls who have no clue what I'm on about.

Personality bonus comes from Morrowind and Oblivion, where they had real stats such as Intelligence, Strength, Agility, Personality etc.

It meant how much people like you, so if you were bad and had crappy personality, people were assholes. If you were high and people liked you, they treated you better being able to give you information more easily.

Never played oblivion, heard about it tho, far as the ES series goes skyrim is the only one i've played so far and i didn't even start playing it untill last year after a friend recomended it. I honestly wasn't even aware that it was part of a series untill i started talking to people about it online, are the other ones just as good?

Skyrim is the more dumb down version to appeal to casual gamers.

Well the reason i was asking is cuz i'm starting to really enjoy the storyline and would love to know more about it, if u enjoy skyrim would oblivion be worth picking up?

Depends on what you enjoy about Skyrim, Oblivion and Morrowind are many many years behind Skyrim.

So i'm guessing the combat isn't the same in oblivion as in skyrim? Didn't realize they were years behind.

Oblivion came out in 06, 5 years before Skyrim, personally I played skyrim before Oblivon, despite Oblivions shall we say less organic character movements it is actually quite a good game storywise, (Note) odds are that crazy Deadric Lord Sheogorath you see during the Deadric quest is the Main Character from Oblivion, in the end is it worth getting because you learn a lot of things about the Elder Scrolls Universe and you explore Cyrodiil, A.K.A the centre of Tamriel

I'm gonna grab a copy then, if nothing else than just to play thru to learn more about the story. Plus its obviously a really old game so a used copy shouldn't run me more than 20$ to 30$ at gamestop, so i won't be out much anyway.
