Imperials or Stormcloaks, what one?

No it doesn't. Do you actually need to be educated about the fact that if you know that something is against the law and you do it anyway it doesn't magically make it legal? Refer back to the my analogy about you killing the guy with an elephant gun by agreement. Let's try and make another simple analogy for you to absorb. If Mayor Bloomberg of New York City agrees to a gun fight with Ron Paul in Madison Square Garden and Ron Paul kills Bloomberg do you actually think that Ron Paul is not going to be arrested and convicted of murder under New York State law?

You do know that the setting kind of Nullifies this analogy, right? (Just because it fits the argument does not mean it works for the setting)

It would be much easier to use an analogy of King of England during the crusades. Fits better.

Sir, I have heard allegations that you are "a volcano of lust" in regards to a certain Dragonborn woman in the Imperial Legion. If the allegations are true, and I believe them to be so, then are you fully discredited from any statements regarding gender equality within the factions.
:p

Hey now you leave Pen out of this. Docta Corvina made Pen with 100% in speech-craft to persuade the male Stormcloak supporters such as myself to join the imperial legion using an attractive woman like Pen. It isn't fair. :D

I don't believe Ulfric did this because he wanted the best for his people. It's all arrogance and like the jarl of Whiterun said: ''Ulfric only cares about Ulfric''. :Dragonborn:

Raijin? I'll make this simple. The people's horrified reactions to Ulfric killing their king in a 'traditional' dual is called evolution. Even if they thought it was right in the past, do you really think something like that could last? There's a reason there are no more barbarian Vikings in the real world. Also, that dual was never once referred to as law, far as I know. I may be wrong, but at least I'm willing to admit it. Does the lore say anything about the last time it was invoked. Next time you talk about it being legal, please check your information.
Just making sure people get this. Sorry if this is rude!

Ulfrics full intentions is to kill him in LEGAL battle, and that's exactly what he did. Torygg accepted it and that's the end of this discussion. Theirs no denying that Ulfrics full intentions is to become the next High king of Skyrim after killing Torygg.

It does not matter if he did so through legal means, which of course he didn't. Putting together a plan in which the desired result is the death of his King and a grab at the throne is treason.

In your opinion it maybe flawed thinking but in fact it's not. A High King is not only a politician, but also a soldier. He should be able to fight in battle if a war erupted. Not to hide away in his castle like a cuddly bear that is afraid of getting his stuffing removed. In fact that Torygg was a sorry excuse of a corrupted politician that enjoyed Imperial coin. Like his wife he was young and inexperienced. He was a man child. According to his court wizard Sybille Stentor, Torygg had held Ulfric in high regard, and he may have been persuaded if Ulfric had simply asked Torygg to stand firm.

We don't know enough about Torygg to label him a "man-child". And there is no evidence to support your claim that he was corrupt. Youth and inexperience fade away as time passes, but flaws like Ulfric's last a lifetime. To claim that Ulfric makes a good king simply because of his skills in battle is flawed logic.

LOL all of the sudden were interested in Ulfric's sex life just because I made a tea party joke? Believe me I don't think Ulfric has any issues whatsoever with bedding with women. I'm sure Galmar has a line of women wanting to bed him as well. In fact women come to Ulfric and Galmar to join up with the Stormcloaks. That's why theirs so many women Stormcloak soldiers :) With an exception of Rikke and that captain bitch from Helgan... did you see any Imperial solider that was a woman? Of all this time I've never seen 1. It was all men Imperial soldiers.

That was just a joke bro. You don't have to freak out about it...

True... Maybe I should kill the emperor to become DA BOSS in Tamriel!

If you think you could do better than him, sure. Ulfric may not be the best choice for High King, but at this point, do you guys think that a politician can Save Skyrim from the Thalmor should Cyrodil fall in the next Great war, or a warrior?

No it isn't. Making the completely false and lore refuted assertion in all caps doesn't magically make it legal. It's been illustrated to you multiple times why it's illegal with a canon lore source and you've provided absolutely nothing to refute it other than your hilariously ignorant and completely incorrect interpretation of how laws work.

To kill a man, you need a warrior. To kill a people, you need a general. To kill a culture, you need a thinker. This isn't some bandit camp. The Dominion will exist as long as there are those who follow it's ideals. Simple killing is not enough.

I wasn't talking about killing them, more like doing what Hammerfel did, fight to a stalemate, drive them back. A politician would be more likely to talk it out that fight it out. When war comes to Skyrim, you need someone who can fight to stop the dominion...

And yet as long as the Dominion exists, it will never end. A wise ruler can think in the long term and engineer their political downfall. For example, providing proof that they didn't bring back the two moons means they loose Elswyer. That sounds more crippling than any battle.

Let's look at how politics worked out-oh, right, The empire signed a treaty that is tearing it apart from the inside, just like the Thalmor wanted. How is it going to work for Skyrim/High Rock, if they are the only place left against the Thalmor?

But that's my point. The reason Skyrim is such a mess is because they thought war would fix things somehow. If any of them stopped to think who the civil war was really helping, they could have ended it. The Thalmor are too smart to be defeated with violence alone.

and politics won't help either, due to the Thalmor brain power. This time, they will win the Great war, and do so before it begins.

Case in point, the civil war isn't getting anybody anywhere. It's draining Skyrim's resources and it's draining the Empre's resources.

And years later after Bethesda releases the final expansion... Thalmor vs Empire/Stormcloaks..... With the Dragonborns help you bet your ass the Thalmor is going to lose. No matter how low both the Empire or the Stormcloaks resources are you're essentially going to do most of the dirty work... just like what happen during the Civil war.

The Thalmor isn't as smart and intelligent as many of you guys point out to be. Seriously If they were that smart they wouldn't be wanting to kill the Dragonborn instead capture him/her alive , and convince him/her to join on their side, and fight for them using various of methods from brainwashing to forcing the Dragonborn to drink a potion, while all chained up, that essentially turns the him/her into their thrall.
TESV2012-05-0723-03-09-66.jpg

If the Thalmor was smart they'll realize just how powerful the Dragonborn can be, and can be of a great asset to their cause.

Let's put it this way... The Thalmor, Empire and the Stormcloaks are like the 3 stooges. The Thalmor are Moe and the Empire is Curly and finally the Stormcloaks are Larry.

You've got Elders Scrolls version of the 3 stooges :)

That's the real problem. The Civil War itself is bullplops. But the fact is Skyrim would be a lot happier with the Empires resources and trade, and the WGC made a bloody and horrifying war grind to a halt at the price of a law that they didn't bother enforcing until Ulfric made a spectical of it. The Stormcloacks are racist, segregate populations, and seem to enjoy war a bit too much. It's even mentioned that Ulfric won't defend non-humans in his hold.

The Empire is still not Enforcing it though, that is the Thalmor. If people are mixing them up, the maybe the Empire really are slaves to the elves.
