Sorry to hear of your loss Shongo ugh what a bitch.. I too lost my Bosmer archer (368hrs) and the beginnings of Virhalla (lvl 25ish.) But.. even though it sucked, it made my new playthroughs much more planned and thought out, not to mention how it refreshed Skyrim for me. Hrisskar took the revenge-seeking Nord warrior as far as it could possibly go with amazing writings, so I think you should consider a race you haven't played, or even a Volkihar offshoot.. wern't there other vamp races mentioned in the book Immortal Blood?. The Morag Tong Assassin journal is an excellent example of finding a niche, (props Fedave!) and I'm sure all races have some interesting historical points that you could find a good plotline within. I too had major reservations about playing a vampire.. but having first been a necromancer, it made it special and the story of her kinda writes itself for me now! Vamps are hard because everyone has pre-concieved ideas about what'll happen, but I think you were definitely doing a good job, but it's a hard mold to break through. All he needed was that extra something, something that made him different then the holier-than-thou classic vamp. Honourman's characters all got me thinking, they are unique in small ways, check it out in his post a little ways down in my story's thread. Good Luck, looking forward to see what you come up with.
BTW, TamrielsSavior, my character is something like what you've suggested here, and as an ardent fan of Fadave I'd be greatful to see what you think of her if you find the time.. pls? ^.^
