I just beat him on my level 45 warrior run and spent like 20 minutes kiting him around the ice cave because direct combat was a nightmare. Then I realized - this fight only works if you abuse the terrain or spam summons or just run circles until he gets stuck on geometry. There's no way the devs intended you to actually stand and fight him straight up.
Like, his health pool is insane, he hits harder than most dragons, and the arena is basically a box with ice. Compare that to something like the Ebony Warrior where you actually have room to maneuver and the fight feels designed. Karstaag just feels like they threw a stat check at you and called it a day.
Am I the only one who thinks this? Or is there actually a legitimate melee build that makes this fight feel fair without summoning an army of dremora lords?
