I was right. I find the Thieves Guild quest repulsive. Nothing about it appeals to me. All of you that enjoy it, more power to ya, but, no armor or weapon is worth it. I just can't get past ripping people off, breaking in to their homes and using bully tactics. Not for me.
If I want somebody's stuff, I'll kill them. All this sneaking around and victimizing people is not my idea of a good time.
Started the first few quests and found them boring and repulsive.
Fortunately, Skyrim is not the kind of game that will require you to finish this questline to "win" the game.
Bye bye Thieves Guild. I've got better things to do with my time.
I haven't done the Thieves Guild questline myself yet in two playthroughs, mainly because it just didn't personally appeal (a friend of mine did though and was turned off from it enough to reload a previous save). However, I have done the DB questline, so my character is certainly less that white.
That said, the thing that I found to be repulsive DB-wise, and way outside my comfort zone, was the optional 'home' torture chamber you can acquire. I mean, seriously. Clean, fast, professional kills are one thing. But taking sadistic pleasure in torturing victims is something else altogether. Not for me, and not the way my 'Listener' will run the DB. Anyone in the sanctuary that is here to indulge their sadistic fantasies can GTFO right now...basically. This is now a professional operation.
So, getting back OT, and forgive me if I'm wrong here, if there are occasions where you might have to beat victims in the TG questline to extract any info, no, I would not be interested.
