Posts that don't warrant their own threads...

So - red head, blond or brunette. Beard, stubble or clean shaven. Elf hater or elf user. Helpful or selfish. Eat your heart or just murder you. So many decisions. :)

Just wanted to share this with someone because I'm like really happy about it.
I believe I posted somewhere on the forum already about how my main character, Serah Estiph's, wife Mjoll the Lioness had run into the infamous moonwalking spouse glitch from Hearthfire and wasn't usable as a follower anymore.
Well somehow, as of yesterday, she fixed herself. I'm not sure if it's because I reset my DLCs and gave it some time, or if it's because I rebuilt Lakeview Manor with a different layout and made Rayya Housecarl and Steward, or that I adopted Lucia again yesterday when she fixed herself and that somehow the interaction between them reset something. Maybe it had to do with re-doing the Rescue mission successfully, only this time it was for the Dawnguard. I don't know what caused it but I'm very happy, because she's one of my favorite followers and her combat skills work well with my characters, which is a hard thing to find IMO. So yeah. I'm thrilled. :D
Oh yeah and I feel like I should mention that I moved her between my characters three houses for a while and then she disappeared once I left her at Lakeview Manor for like, 2 days or so. And when she reappeared she was walking normally again. Maybe I've found a fix for this glitch, that'd be awesome..

"Dangerous post, Dawnstar. If the bandits don't get you, the animals will."

So very true. I started a new chaacter (using an alternate start mod) and swam from my starting point (a shipwreck in the middle of the Sea of Ghosts) to Dawnstar. The first thing I hear in the town? The unmistakable sound effect caused by someone shield bashing something.

It turned out that the Frost Troll living just outside Dawnstar had decided to pay the town a visit. And because I play with the Requiem overhaul (makes everything 100x more difficult), Frost Trolls are pretty much invincible without a fire attack of some kind. I had a Staff of Firebolts I'd found at the shipwreck, which I used in an attempt to help the guards kill the troll (I had next to no combat skills and zero armour).

Needless to say, Dawnstar is now quite a few NPCs emptier... "trolled" people include the blacksmith and his wife, plus at least some of the miners at Quicksilver Mine. And possibly others. Haven't checked yet - I need to let the Alto Wine that I drank while swimming wear off because it's making my screen all blurry. :p

Damn trolls...

I'm sure others have seen something like this happen, but it was a first for me.

I had just exited the Keep in Markarth, a gaggle of guards were ambulating up the stairs when suddenly one of them went airborne. In the standing position, he just sort of floated up. Way up. Didn't struggle; it was as if he were just standing there and had inadvertently activated his rocket boots. And then he fell to his death.

I of course went to see if he had any gold, arrows, or ale, (after I'd stopped laughing), and some of the guards were crouched around him going, "Oh, what happened?" What happened indeed!

Seen this happen to animals in mountainess areas, but not from a 8standing position. They woud be running around going up in the air like they were trying to scale An invisable mountain to then plummit to their death

This has to be some kind of an achievement in itself, right? :p

Definitely! I know it's coming up on the 9 year anniversary, but I keep returning to Skyrim. With the ENBs and shading/texture/hi-res mods, it still looks better than games released yesterday. Every other game I play just reminds me how not-quite-as-good-as-Skyrim it is. GTA V comes closest. I have high hopes for Cyberpunk 2077, but until April September November December? next April? it's all Skyrim for me!
