Open Reforging an Empire

You are most welcome :) but in all seriousness please do post a character card in the OOC thread. It's standard procedure for all rp'shere before you post.

Name: Drebin "Storm-Blade"
Race: Nord
Class: Dwemer Scholar, Adventurer, Sellsword
Gender: Male

Looks: Brown hair cut down short. Deep blue eyes, thin mouth but a long chin. Dirt from battles, scar running from the bottom of his left eye to his cheek. Heavy build and tan skin

Personality: Drebin has a no-quit attitude, if you knock him down hill get right back up again. He's quiet and not much of a drinker. But if you challenge him a drinking contest get ready to lose. He's on the road a lot but finds time to play with his two kids. He's not as soft-spoken as he's thought to be and is often sarcastic. He is religious and always wears his Amulet of Talos into battle. He isn't married and has trouble finding love, but he is very loyal to his friends and is willing to die for them. He is very proud of his his heritage and helped Ulfric beat back the Imperials, earning him the title "Storm-Blade". He is always willing to give a helping hand and will often do odd jobs for people.

Likes: Dwemer ruins (next to Cacelmo he considers himself an expert on them), dogs, kids, open spaces, fair combat, some thievery, Dragon Priest masks, Nord and Dwemer artifacts.

Dislikes: Bandits, assassins, and hired thugs. Murderers, and thieves. He also has a unexplainable grudge against Farkas.

Combat Prefs: Heavy armor, he prefers to fight in his Ancient Nord Armor. He is an accomplished archer but doesn't use his Nord Hero Bow, named Isabelle, very often. Despite his armor he likes to move fast and uses a Nord Hero Sword, which he named Autumn, in battle. He uses Unrelenting Force often and although he has to ability to, he doesn't often become a werewolf.

Bio: Drebin was his parents only son. They owned an inn and he often helped his father while his mother Isbelle took care of the house-keeping and his little sister Autumn. Then the unspeakable happened, his father contracted Rockjoint and after days of suffering, finally died. With no one to run the inn his mother was forced to cell and they moved to a dirty apartment in Riften. His mom married a member of the Black-Briars and they could afford to move to better conditions of living. His step-father despised him and his sister. And while his mother was at work, he took them deep into the wilderness and threw them into a Falmer infested cave. Drebin was able to grab a Falmer sword and held off many in an effort to save himself and his sister. But she was hit with and arrow and was killed instantly. Running from the cave he made the long and hard journey back to Riften only to find his mother dead and his step-father slated for execution. It turns out that his mother confronted his step-father with his deed. They fought and he broke a mead bottle over her head. She never woke up. Stricken with grief he vowed to never give up fighting in the hopes that when he finally died, he could rejoin his family as a grown-man. He stowed away on a carriage to Solitude, where he worked to docks until he turned 18 and struck out on his own.

Breakfast was over quickly for Eilene, though she strangely took a few peices of round fruit with her and went deeper into the crypt where the bulls-eye sat for target practice. She wanted to challenge herself to the peak, and therefore blindfolded herself.

To practice her agility, precision, and keen senses, she used a little kick-toss to hurl a fruit in the air and shoot it before it hit the ground and hopefully get a center shot. This was a best case scenario for this exercise though but Eilene came close, sometimes glancing the fruit and was off from the center by a few inches.

After finishing breakfast, baroth looked around the hall, for simus or someone. He saw the woman heading down into the crypt with the fruit and the bow and arrows. He knew the method and followed her. He cleaned up the spot where he was and followed her. He saw her training and watched, unnoticed. Then he spoke,"Excuse me,do you know where I could find simus?" He asked.

Eilene seemed unsurprised but felt rather nervous that someone was there the whole time she was blindfolded. Without taking the folds off she replied. "If he's not here, I'm sure he'll come back soon." There was a certain elegence to her when she practiced like this. Despite being known to feel inferior, she had such a confident air which breathed a strange life into the half-vampire dumner.

He nodded,"Thank you." He said, as headed out of the crypt, leaving her to her training. He went back to the hall and sat by the shrine once again. He stared at the shrine, having another flashback of one of his adventures in Black Marsh. Remembering the fall of the temple of shadowscales.

The fires intensity increased and the smoke got thicker. Baroth stabbed and killed another of the foul daedra,as he heard the cries and yells of his friend,Re'ja. He fought his way over to him only to see him surrounded by daedra. Baroth quickly jumped down and ambushed the group. He stabbed the first in the back and cut the other across the chest. Re'ja shocked the other two to death. "They just don't give up,do they?" Re'ja said sarcasticly. "They've come for the crystal," Baroth said,"We have to get there first." Re'ja nodded,"This way." He said, leading him past the piles of burning rubble. They reached the room and saw door had been kicked open. As they entered, they saw the daedra were still looking for the hatch. They cleared them out and moverd one of the barrels, revealing the hatch. As they began to climb down, more daedra arrived. Re'ja shot a fire bolt at some loose rubble as the daedra neared the hatch. He quickly closed the hatch and slid down the ladder. Baroth was already at the door leading to the crystal chamber. He motioned for re'ja to follow. He pushed the door open and saw the daedra already there, with the crystal! Baroth wasted no time,as he charged in. He rammed one to the ground and and stabbed him to death. Then he stood and saw the other four surrounding him. Suddenly, one of them was struck by ahim strong shock and the other by a fireball. Baroth blocked the stroke from one and cut his knee. Then he struck him down and stabbed the other in the stomach and cut him down. Then re'ja and baroth approached the crystal as more daedra began getting through the door. Re'ja gave baroth the crystal,"get it to saftey." He said, charging up fire storm. Baroth turned and ran. Everything went black after the big explosion. He found himself in the forest. Then he stood, and walked away.

Titus got up from the ground and walked down into the room where breakfast was. Titus sat at the table, grabbing a loaf of bread and a mead, eating it all so quickly that he almost choked. He then got up and went to the training room and stared as Eilene shot fruits out of the air blindfolded. "How do you do that?"

"Smell them, feel the change in the air patterns, hear the brush of the wind as they move. And I'm the one throwing them into the air instead of someone else." Eilene replied without missing a beat, taking off the folds when she ran out of intact fruit. "Did you need the target?" She asked curtly.

Veridas woke slowly, and leisurely. The assassin was in his room in the Bannered Mare, and stripped to the waist. Glancing out the window, he estimated by the suns' angle, that it was mid morning, perhaps between nine and ten in the morning. Automatically, he was alert. It was a trait he'd developed in his youth. Swinging his legs out of bed, he dressed quickly, and buckled on his sword and dagger. He'd arrived the night before, from Riften, by carriage. Upon entering the city, he'd heard rumors of people hiding inside the city's hall of the dead.

The Breton thought this piece of information strange, but useful. He'd also heard that some of those people may have prices on their heads. The Stormcloaks were offering septims for anti-Ulfric conspirators and non-Nords, the Thalmor had contracts on priests of Talos and the Imperials had put bounties on Legion deserters and Stormcloak officers. All in all, there was a lot of profit to be made in Skyrim these days. However, the assassin refused to work for Stormcloaks. Especially since they'd branded him a traitor and chased him out of Windhelm. For the past few weeks hidden in Riften, taking small contracts that wouldn't lead the officials to him.

He left the inn several minutes later, having eaten breakfast and headed for the hall of the dead, avoiding main roads, until he reached the hall. Then he pushed the door open, easily avoiding a man that was pouring over papers and muttering to himself. Moving quietly, his supple leather boots making not a whisper of sound, he followed the sound of conversation, until he saw a pair of people, an elf, and an imperial, talking. Standing to his full height he cleared his throat. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything?" He inquired, leaning against the wall and crossing his arms.

Baroth, taken out of his flashback, heard the door to the crypt close. He turned to hadvar,"Did you hear that?" He asked. Hadvar shook his head, then returned to his papers and muttering. Baroth followed into the crypt, seeing the man leaning against the wall. By the looks of him,he had to be an assassin. Baroth quietly watched, leaning against the wall.

Eilene looked at Veridas a moment, not recognising him but considering them of like professions, she had a feeling of what he was. "Not really...who are you?" she wasn't immediately suspicious of him but she stayed alert, tucking her cloak around her shoulders more.

Veridas smiled at the woman. She seemed to have a certain look of respect in her eyes. She moved with clear confidence, the movements of a professional killer. Bowing lightly, he responded "Veridas Ashhart, I'd like to say at your service, my lady, but unfortunately, I'm not" he watched the woman, intrigued by the presence of a Dunmer in a Nord place of the dead. The assassin glanced at the archery range, and arrows. "Quite a set up you have here" he said, wondering if she and the young man were the only ones in the place.
