Skyrim armor compared to oblivion armor

My Question is...

..what happened to Mithril Armor? Is it just not mined "Lore-Wise" anymore?

It's been in ever Elder Scrolls game except for Skryim. Did they feel it isn't really needed maybe?

False. Morrowind was the first Elder Scrolls game in which Mithril Armor wasn't featured.

I think they should have had chainmail inbetween leather and elven an mithri where advanced armores is.

Dwarven: Skyrim
Orcish: Skyrim
Elvish: ehhhh, kind of a tie..leaning towards skyrim though
Ebony: Oblivion
Glass: Skyrim
Daedric: Skyrim
Blades:Skyrim
Shrouded: again, a tie..but this time I'm leaning towards Oblivion
