I consider rape and some degrees of murder the same. But, that's just me.

Over my own opinion. I want to prove my point just as badly as you want to prove yours. Which is why you went with the "Disregard Valid Point" stratagy.
 
Ok everyone, this is getting ridicules, and many of you are debating, and arguing about this wrongly.

You can't talk about murder, and then say "rape is immoral", they're both immoral
You can't say rape scars many of people, you think murder doesn't effect people close to the victim?

GRANTED, I do not want to see rape added to a game, for my PERSONAL STANCE, but argument wise its "my opinion over everything"

the best way to argue against it would to ask "What would be the point of raping women in skyrim. Do you think skyrim is a game based around sex." and you can continue down LOGICAL UNBIASED REASONING.

yeesh, it's a video game... Be able to realize virtual from reality, sheesh.

and above all, do not be like politics and allow your personal moral guiding throw off your entire argument and point on why something should or should not be.

BACK ON FRIGGIN TOPIC!

Skyrim should add, multiple type of Werewolves, and types of vampires.
I.E. Alpha, Beta, Omega Wolves and Vampire Lords, Savage Vampires, and Feral(?) Vampires (the ones who would kind of act like falmar, but just stronger and etc)
 
Will everyone just shut up?
This person gave his opinion about having rape in-game, being more suited to evil characters and playing sexual predators.
So, you people felt it was your duty as people of the internet to say his opinion is wrong for wanting something that is taboo in today's society in a game.
Bethesda themselves have implied rape with Thieves Guild member, Sapphire, and implied Astrid was molested by her uncle.
Who says it has to be animated? Why not the screen fade to black or something? Not saying I support the idea, just saying this person has a right as a human being to be entitled to his opinion.

Implications never hurt anyone. But I agree with the rest.

Murder has become a glorified act. Millions of men slaughter millions of other men in war and are heralded as heroes for it. Has any rapist ever been called a hero? Men are sentenced with capital punishment and their deaths are called justice. Has any rape ever been called justice? Millions of dollars are spent to make films that glamorize war and murder, which billions of dollars are then spent to see. Has that much money ever been spent on explicit and brutal performances of rape, and have that many people ever been interested to see it? The answer to all of these questions is: no, of course not.

I'm not saying that there's nothing ever wrong with murder. But as a culture we have been conditioned to see murder as sometimes acceptable, sometimes heroic, sometimes necessary. That is why murder and death is everywhere we look: on television, in films, in literature, on the internet, and in video games.

I hope we never see a day when rape can, for any reason, be considered acceptable, or heroic, or necessary. I hope we never see a day when we have become desensitized to rape. Would you want that to become our reality? Because putting rape into video games would be a very good start.
