Smithing perks

Riften Guard

Bad Thief
I was wondering if the forsworn armor or stormcloak officer's uniform benefited from any of the upgrade perks. I have a berserker and want him to be more primal and primitive. I need some good looking light armor but I need to be able to upgrade it enough for later game.

I have a barbarian character atm too and had the same dilemma as you. I love the look of furr armour and saviours hide looks cool too. So i simply maxed out enchanting and smithing, crafted smithing gear and used that to upgrade them both. Maybe not armour cap material but I'm a freaking wrecking machine and look the part too. Light armour was also maxed out, the perks will help you immensely. Have fun:)

Dude. Here is "not very hard" way to get pretty decent good Forsworn armor (Not basic one). On you first visit to Markarth you will witness an assasination. Just do the quest which strange guy asking for you help will give you. In middle of the questline you will be thrown into jail. There if you choose to help Forsworn their leader will give you full set of Forsworn armor with enchantments.

One thing to mention: ofcourse enchantments are weaker then you can put by yourself but armor set still looks great.

My Berserker/Barbarian is rocking Stormcloak Officer Armor just because i think it looks the best. Go with dragonscale if you are having a hard time hitting the armor cap of 567 with the armor set you like the best.

Okay , you have a mass selection of advanced steel and Nordic armour.
And you also have a way of improving dawngaurd or ancient Nord armour, in which you might find.

The steel armour I am talking about is dawngaurd armour, "unless you have the DLC??"

Not this crappy primitive armour that you use from the start. There are all sorts of strong Nordic and strong armours. But take my advice....if your choosing light armour by any chance go just left side. If your choosing heavy go right side. But if you want all like me, go for all ....

If you max Smithing and Light Armor perks (heavy if you go that route), almost any armor will reach the 576 soft cap for armor.
