Starting Dawnguard

I have just downloaded the Dawnguard extension (Xbox 360) and i don't know how to start the Dawnguard quests. I have tried speaking to soldiers but none give me an option to ask about anything. help?

Gaurds will start to talk about it when your level10 or you could just walk up to the fort before then. It is south east of Riften

If you get to level 10 or higher, and walk in to Riften, usually someone will approach you or you can hear guards talking about it. Worked every time for me!

There's an Orc who shows up randomly between Breezeholm and the gate who will ask you to join eventually too.

The Orc will show up in any city soon after hitting level ten.

It's recommended that you be at least a level 10 before you start the Dawnguard DLC (the enemies are tough). Normally, when you are approaching level 10, vampire attacks on towns will increase. When I hit level 10 and entered a city, the Orc came. If you just want to get the Dawnguard DLC rolling without being level 10, just follow the map below.

Look for a cave.
