The Next Skyrim DLC...

To me, the next DLC will have more snow elves, for them to bring one back, talk about becoming more intelligent, and whatnot is to big for them to not elaborate and bring more stuff in. But my personal preference, I agree with Dragon Riding, why not make it something, call Odahviing and then ride around skyrim, and an Arena of some sort

Redguard level 81 - Dual Enchanted Dragonbone Axes - Fully Upgraded Werewolf

Bethesda should make the moonpath to Elseweyr an official DLC - and they should add spears

or possibly an INDUSTRIAL revolution? dwemers make factories - flintlock pistols and all that jazz?

I've been waiting for a major tech advancement for the Elder Scrolls. The tech hasn't really improved yet across 7 games (five main stream and two spin-offs). I wouldn't mind the begins of a technological/magical revolution. It isn't much to ask for if you ask me. Only the dwemer ever had any kind of mechanical equipment besides the siege engine the dremora use in Oblivion. But I want that to be delayed until Elder Scrolls VI. If they make one after they realize the disaster Elder Scrolls Online will be.

Somebody mentioned the Psijic order appearing, that is definitely something I would like to see.

A few things we probably can't expect for a game like Skyrim:

  1. Preexisting in game story-line expansions; this means Civil War continuations, major faction story-line expansion, or main story-line related expansion (more Alduin stuff).
  2. Thalmor War. This is not of major importance at the moment Skyrim takes place. There is a chance something may happen in a few years after the events of Skyrim, but not as a likely DLC.
  3. Psijiic Order DLC. Possible but unlikely, due to their close relation with the College of Winterhold story-line.
  4. Snow-Elves. Yes we want to see them, no I doubt we will get to see unchanged Snow-Elves as the main topic of a DLC.
  5. Falmer War. Not going to be a DLC unless it takes place in a small, isolated region and the DLC involves stopping the invasion before it spreads. Sorry guys, no huge-ass Skyrim-wide invasion seems probable.
Now I have burst many peoples bubbles lets continue wishful thinking.

The next DLC should advance the Altmeri Dominion/Empire cold war story line. The Elder Scrolls has always been the story of The Empire, and here it lays shattered. Dying. The Dragonborn can and should be the savior it needs, a new dragon-blood Emperor to see the White Gold Tower restored to its glory. The new Tiber Septim, an analogy that's made time and again in the game, any future DLC should play into that idea.

Though it was a back-drop in the game itself, the Dominion/Empire proxy war in Skyrim is probably the most historically significant element to the story. Perhaps not the story of Skyrim, but of the games to come.

I agree. But unfortunately I don't see that happening in Skyrim DLC. It will most likely affect TESVI.

Either something about the Falmer or something about the Dwemer, they're very shady races that never seem to come up. Or something about smithing, that could be fun :)

The Sload (slug race) unfortunately live far south of Skyrim in a mostly underwater coral kingdom outside the borders of Tamriel. We will not get to see them unless one travels very far to a location nearer to Skyrim or in a plane of Oblivion. I just checked up on it. The idea, though appealing, seems unfortunately unlikely.
Agreed. And I have to say seeing a slug race wouldn't be all that intriguing to begin with (I guess at the very least their architecture and living habits could be interesting). But they seem to be more of a construct for a book of some kind; what I mean to say is that they add a sort of background-variety-noise that makes the Elder Scroll universe more dynamic. Other than that I wouldn't want to see the Sload themselves in a future main game. However my real point for the previous post was to show my appreciation for the idea of a underwater civilization of some kind being accessible (more than likely it would go hand in hand with the introduction of a new race). Whether its a good idea to go with Skyrim as DLC, I find myself leaning towards a "no". Simply because I don't think it would fit the overall feel and lore associated. I believe you feel the same way from the idea I gleaned from your response. But like I said an underwater-based culture could be cool for the future. *shrugs*

AS much as id love to learn more about dwarves bethesda has been teasing about there dissappearence for quite a while so i doubt they will reveal it in a dlc... id love to see someting involving the orcs though. They could make a huge dlc of Orsinum, which could revolve around bringing the rise of the orcs and a story involving Malacath. I think that would be sick, doing huge underground cities deep in the mountains and maybe even going to the his realm the Ashpits. They could introduce spears back in the game at the same time just as dawnguard did with crossbows... plus in the corner of northwest skyrim there is a crack in the mountain that they didnt turn into a cave yet.

Cmon that would be sick!!!

YES PLEASE! I'm really hoping that TES6 covers both the Black Marsh and Elsweyr, and this would be a perfect lead-in.

My guess is that the next DLC is going to be Deadric focused, maybe with some Psijic Order mixed in. It's been code named "Hearthfire" which gives up a few clues. There is a Necromancer's holiday on the 3rd of Hearthfire, and a Psijic Order rite the day before. 2920- vol 9, Hearthfire is a Conjuration skill book. I wonder which Deadric Lord Skyrim would get......

i'm tired of this morph crap.

i want my next TES to allow everything. combine everything great from all the games and add a hardcore (sleep and eat doesn't cut it) mode.

i want travel by bug to morrowind and wagon to riverwood.

i want to visit all the lands. i want factions. i want to create my own faction and dish out quests.

spellmaking return? uh, ya.
levitation? yes, with rules.
lockpicking worthwhile? yes.
h2h/unarmored/pacifist solutions to EVERYTHING? f'in, flippin yes.
packs, wagons, horses, caravans, carts = yes.
attributes.
meaningful perks and skills.
options/settings competency.
journal/map quest competency.

i want the next tes game to be everything i foolishly thought skyrim would be.

p.f'in. s.

perks DO NOT replace attributes. attributes govern everything.

as it remains pretty unknown how the Dwemer were killed off. it would be cool if some of them escaped into a plain of oblivion and you have to find them and free them to do something in the quest
We actually know a little about how the Dwemer died. In the Morrowind main quest line you find out the dwemer were messing with or doing something with the heart of Lorkhan trying to become immortal through a combination of technology and magic. While trying to do this is when they disappeared. Your idea could still work cause its possible that they did teleport themselves accidently to a plane of Oblivion, but it would make more sense that they were punished through death.
