What exactly is this Wabbajack?

A staff from Sheogorath, the Daedric prince of Madness. It transforms a person or thing into something else randomly.

It will spawn mobs too! I didn't know wtf it did, so of course I walk outside and tried it out on a guard! At first nothing happened (probably just missed him) and the second time, it spawned a mudcrab on him! He went to fight it, and the mudcrab one-shot him! Free guard loots for me! Thanks Wabbajack™!

I've been looking for a way to defeat a guard! I've made numerous attempts to kill one I even tried to put the game on easy and I still couldn't take one down :c This "Wabbajack" sounds like the answer to my prayers..

Hehe it doesn't always do that, though! Be warned! Haha. I tried to show my roommate it, and it just turned him in to a chicken, or something. I can't remember if he turned back, but his friends were mad enough as it was... -.-;

Yeah, it's a daedric quest. I actually don't remember how I stumbled upon it, although the wikia will have that information for you, which is where you'd probably get pointed from google. =)

The easiest way to find it is this:

1. Ask for rumors at the inn in Solitude until you hear about a "strange man rambling by the blue palace"
2. Find the strange man walking around on the roads outside the palace. He will ask you to help him bring his master back who has "Gone on vacation" inside the pelagius wing of the palace.
3. Enter the palace and speak with the palace maid. She will assist you with finding the Pelagius wing.
4. Enter and enjoy the madness of Sheogorath.

The staff actually does not only transform your target but in fact does a [random magic effect]. It's fun but not hardly practical. Hope no one got spoiled.
