Killing NPCs in cities is stupid.

There's very little of them to begin with and killing them would be impractical making the towns desolate and really a waste of time. ;)

Is the "I kill them in line of assault inside or outside of cities" another way of saying: "I kill them when they are stupid enough to wander between my attacks and a hostile enemy?" I'm not voting until I know it is.

I don't really kill civilians that often, unless they are rude or annoying or piss me off. Like Nazeem in Whiterun, and his snobby wife Ahlam. Those two fell under my blade before I even met the jarl... :3

I've found on my newest character (a desperately-poor and massively underpowered vampire) that I like to accost travelers I meet on the road at night. Everyone else gets stolen from and/or drunk from.

i could never kill npcs in citys, i love how fluid it is with all the people walking around, can u imagine the bannerd mare with no npcs it would be crap. i do have an exception i have an orc build that is a bandit im trying to kill all killable npcs but besides that its pretty stupid doing it, unles u want to kill nazeem or dirge i wouldnt blame anyone for that.

I don't even kill Nazeem. If they don't try to kill me, then I usually won't kill them.

Unless they are Thalmor. All Thalmor must die. FOR TALOS!

All generic name NPCs : Die
All uniquely named NPCs: I try as hard as possible to keep them alive and when I see that one has died by some strange accident, a part of me dies with them (no matter who they are)

It depends on the character, but I don't usually kill innocent civilians.

If I'm on the road, I may kill a hunter or traveler, usually by sneaking up on them (accomplishable with heavy armor) and driving a greatsword through their back. I take what they have, murder their horse(s), and move on.

It seems mean, but most of my characters are fairly evil.

I normally keep the slate clean and steer clear of innocent civilians. That is, until the build gets boring and my morality drops to absolute zero.

Still, that loudmouth Heimskr who preaches about Talos 24/7 manages to tempt even my most pacifistic builds.

I only kill named NPC's if they've outlived their usefulness and are assholes. Erikur, Nazeem, Heimskr, Angrenor Once-Honored, Degaine...just to name a few.

Me two. My character destroyed everyone in white run and the place sucked after that. So my current character just kills Thalmor. All Thalmor. Fat Thalmor, skinny Thalmor, short Thalmor, tall Thalmor, old Thalmor, young Thalmor, tholmor in hats, Thalmor on horses, Thalmor with mustaches, Thalmor with glasses, Thalmor on pogo sticks, Thalmor with one leg, sleeping Thalmor, dancing Thalmor, Thalmor eating tacos, singing Thalmor, humming Thalmor, imaginary Thalmor, lonesome Thalmor, friendly Thalmor, angry Thalmor, Thalmor who climb on rocks, Thalmor with chicken pox, werewolf Thalmor, vampire Thalmor, naked Thalmor, Thalmor in orc costumes, Thalmor in drag, Thalmor in caves, Thalmor on mountains, underwater Thalmor, Thalmor with amnesia, Thalmor who think they are not Thalmor, Thalmor in bars, flying Thalmor.... Well yah know Thalmor.

thats exactly what I do,not in cities because you just get caught and go to jail or pay massive bounties.I only may get charged killing a civilian in a open road and he may call me a milk drinker,or some plops.
so I drill a blade through his or her back.
I just feel like it killing any dickhead who calls me a milk drinker.
I will milk drink them with my sword and my blade or dagger, and that's it.

just kill anybody in line of swiftly or aussault, or just because you feel like it, stuff it commit murders but kill all the witnesses-only outside of cities not near or close to cities, right out in the countrey side.thats what i do the most;).
