OOC What Lurks in the Dark

Sadly, I have to agree with AS88. More than half of the people who joined the RP seemed to have gone elsewhere, and I can't really see it moving smoothly anymore with that whole chunk of people just vanishing like that. It had tremendous potential, it's a shame that it slowed down the way it has.

If the RP does manage to resurrect itself, I'll be keeping an eye on it. But with other matters I need to focus on, I'll have to respectfully resign from it. Thanks for having me guys, even if it was short-lived :)

I'll write Nero off if need be.

I apologize for my absence, but I could not foresee ending up in the hospital. Trust me, the next time I'm in the hospital, I'll have someone notify you. The role play is not dead, as has been rumored. Those of you that are still with the roleplay I need to post sometime this week. Otherwise, you will be considered removed from the role play. Thank you.

I think the others are kind of waiting for you to post. Anyways, I think someone besides me should post.

I can post if you want? I've got a conflict planned between my character and Madrar's. He realizes Salthar is a vampire and fires an arrow at him. You can get hit, deflect it, whatever you want.

plops, you were in the hospital? I feel kinda bad now, because I thought you'd just given up on the roleplay, and I was like: that bitch, how dare she give up on us' And then I turned myself into a hypocrite, and did the exact same thing. If people would have known I'm sure they'd have stayed on. Well, maybe. Anyways, I'll post next then.

yeah I was. It was not very pleasant either, but don't feel too bad. If someone just dropped out of an rp without saying anything, I'd probably be kind of upset as well. But, I'm back now, and ready to bring this role play all the way to the top :D

Ohhhhh...we're back on this are we? Good. What happened that you needed to be in the hospital? If it's not too personal, I mean. More to the point, I think I'll post now. I've wanted my vamp to interact with Salthar in some way, and I think the 'fellowship' setting out would be the perfect opportunity.

So sorry to hear you were in the hospital, I hope you are well now. I am happy to see this RP is being revived, but unfortunately, I am enduring my own personal issues at the moment and must resign. I will not be able to dedicate the time needed to make my participation fair, and I don't want to take away from the experience of others. I will be watching the RP though, to see how everything develops.

Aethalia, do you think you could post the plotline? Up until Whiterun, anyways?

Ok, then Shaded. So basically guys, after we kill off the bandits, we enter a cave, planning on fighting the chief, when we discover some dead villagers, and an old man covered in strange, black markings. Realizing we're dealing with a little more than bandits, we confront the jarl (Sidgeir) and he sends us to Whiterun to confer with Farengar. However, before we get to speak with him, the city is under attack once we arrive. I've got a few things planned in between but Whiterun is coming up fairly soon after the bandit killing.

Do you guys mind if I bring in another character? I was thinking he could be sort of like Boromir from LOTR and be leading the defense of the city? I'll post his CC.

Name: Bornir Shield-arm.

Age: 28

Race: Nord

Gender: Male

Class: Warrior

Weapons: Sky forged steel sword

Armour: Steel breastplate, gauntlets, and greaves, with leather tunic over a shirt of chain mail. An iron shield with a broad leather strap connected to each edge of the shield, allowing it to be slung over his shoulder when not in use. Also a wolf-fur coat that he uses in particular cold environments.

Appearance: Tall, handsome, with light brown hair that almost reaches his shoulders. A short beard of the same colour, light grey eyes, muscled from years of practicing with his sword and shield. Heavily respected by the guards and soldiers of Whiterun hold.

Backstory: Born and raised in Whiterun, he quickly became one of the best swordsmen in the city, challenging numerous travelers to battle, well into his teen years. He then joined the Whiterun guards at the age of eighteen, and worked his way through the ranks of guardsmen, fighting everything from bandits to Falmer. When we was twenty three, he killed a young dragon, and uses one of it's hollowed out horns as a war-horn. Although his family was poor, Bornir often acts like nobility, and having recently been promoted to the captain of the guard, is highly respected by the guards and people of the hold. Unfortunately, he is often too proud for his own good, and that, more often than not, leads him to conflict with others. However, he is good hearted, and cannot abide cruel and evil men, often riding days to hunt them down and bring them to justice.

I like it Black. Especially how you managed to incorporate the Boromir like-ness from both the book and movie into Skyrim lore. As long as you can control both characters without getting too confused, I say go for it! I assume we'll meet him after/ during the attack on the city?

Yeah, I thought he might be leading the guards in defense of the city. I forgot to ask, what....ah what exactly will we be fighting?

That sounds good. As for the enemies, I was originally thinking that the enemies would be brainwashed villagers, but I've changed my mind because...I can, to make it like the abducted villagers have sort of devolved into orc-like monstrosities, (think lotr orcs) with black markings on them and super pale skin.

lol, I'm a Lord of the Rings lover ,so this'll be interesting to say the least. So, to be certain, they're like orcs, but just devolved, mutilated humans? With black tattoo-markings? If so, I like it

You've got it Madrar. They act like orcs, but they don't really look like them. More like mutants, if that makes any sense? Anyways, after Shaded, Willow, and Windwalker (I think that's everyone) post, I'll post the opening scene for the bandit fight.

Well, I like the plot ideas so far...on an unrelated side not, anyone watching the super bowl? My BF won't shut up about it!

NO. I waste enough of my brain cells watching tv that I enjoy, I can't stand american football. If I want to see idiots running around and beating the plops out of one another, I'll watch COPS.

I love that the latest alert I get from this thread is from 11 AM this morning. Thanks a bunch, alert system!
And no, I don't watch football. I think I watched it once, but I was wasted, I flicked to football, and I was like...
WTF is this plops!?!? And watched the comedy channel until I passed out.
