What Would You Change Or Add Skyrim?

I have a form of Aspergers where everything needs to be ''complete''....aka if I watch a Vikings game I am compulsed to record every statistic, and it's no different in Skyrim....I like to think ''I have completed the game.'' But you can't.

Your not suppose to complete the game. Why you ask?

Because it is the game that never ends.
It goes on and on my friend.
You started playing it not knowing what it was.
And you're continue playing it forever just because.
It is the game that never ends.
It goes on and on my friend.
You started playing it not knowing what it was.

And you're continue playing it forever just because.
It is the game that never ends.
It goes on and on my friend.

Ok now I'm board but I think you get the point and that is the that the song that never end works with just about anything.

Hi Guys/Gals. I'm totally new here obviously with my monster post count and all but I wanted to chime in here as a Skyrim addict. Five things off the top of my head.

1. I would love Bethesda to take the Dragons a bit more seriously in that I hate that I'm the Dragonborn, the Dragons know this, and in the middle of a fight they fly off and start annihilating a mighty Mudcrab or Troll or Giant or etc....... Now, don't get me wrong, there has been some awesome battles witnessed because Dragons feel the need to incinerate all moving creatures, but COME ON!

I find the dragons to be almost too easy to combat because they have A.D.D. The dragons would be a lot harder to deal with if they came after you and not random creatures gallivanting about in the wilds of Skyrim. Also, I play on the hardest setting so it's not for the lack of motivation of a challenge. I will admit the two dragons that DawnGuard added do pose more of a threat. Also, please Bethesda, make an epic three headed Dragon that uses Fire/Frost/Shock all at the same time. THAT would be incredible!

2. When I first played Skyrim, I was afraid to go into the water. There was something very uneasy about the vast siren water ways. I found like everyone else there are monstrous Slaughterfish, that do pretty much no damage. I really feel Bethesda needed to make the waterways more dangerous to make you avoid open swimming. Another idea that popped into my head was Water Dragons that used Steam similar to Dwemer Centurians. Makes sense right? Dragon heats water and creates scalding steam that does tons of damage.

3. Increase animal groups or bring more dangerous animals to Skyrim. I run into Bears and kill them in one melee attack. They just slow me down and annoy me whereas before, I was very careful with Sabre Cats and Bears Etc. Bring in a Kodiak style of bear that does 2-3 times the damage and make them appear bigger as well. No re-skins please. The Frost Giants kind of irritated me because that's all they were as well.

Speaking of Giants, make them aggressive! I would like there to be tribes of Giants that go out of their way to splatter you. Give them some armor too. They've become way too weak as the game progresses. Also, the fat Giants from the Game Jam rocked. Bring in some fatties. Giants with man boobs. NICE!

4. Sorry guys, they just keep coming. Forging. Look, I kind of cheated, not really, but the way I got my Smithing to 100 was simply making a buttload of leather products. Now, here's what bothers me about Smithing. The weapons in Skyrim become very detailed and eloquent. Just because I made countless hundreds of leather helms doesn't make me a master at anything other than, well, leather smithing. Daedric weapons IMO should not be able to be made by people, only found throughout the vast expanses of Skyrim. The detail alone makes you realize that people can't make that weaponry. Look, I can make toast every morning for breakfast and it doesn't make me a master chef over time. What should have happened is forges should have had specialists throughout Skyrim. For example, Riverwood's forge should have specialized in iron forging. For a price, you could pay to be trained for the ability to double the ability of that particular weaponry and armor. So, Whiterun would have been Steel at the Skyforge. You would pay to learn the trade of Steel from Eorlund Gray-Mane etc. Also, Weapons should fail. Swords should break. Arrows should shoot crooked depending on the bow and the arrow. That should be the real point of finding and upgrading to better weapons. Armor should need to be fixed over time.

5. I seriously could probably make 10 more but I'm probably boring the hell out of everyone so I'll make this my last. FOOD. I have become a hoarder in Skyrim. I collect almost anything including dead animal carcass. Then I store all of this crap and I NEVER cook. Why? I don't have to. They should have made you. You need to eat in real life and you sure can collect a crap load of food by farming or pillaging, so ..........

You really should be required to eat and drink to bring a little more realism to this game. Also. I think I have some clam meat that's got to be three months old. I could see if Lydia will eat it but I kind of like having a living housecarl.

Ok, I totally lied, one more!

6. Skyrim needs more romance. Yes, we all love skewering bandits, humiliating Giants, and killing the daily Dragon. We come home, stretch, drop our spider encrusted sword by the fire and see our robotic spouses. There needs to be far more dialog with your spouse. I would like an option to say "Thank You" after a battle where Serana comes to my aid and bails my butt out from 3 frost trolls trying to Molag Bal me. I would like to see Bethesda put a lot more effort into the interaction of the spouse or follower in their next big game as it's probably impossible to fix this one. I would love to spoil my wife with gifts. Make unique gifts as well, not anything you can personally make. I would like to see my character sleep in bed with his wife. Not in a tasteless manor, no hibbity dibbity, just a cool screen shot of your character with their spouse sleeping as a couple. Also, make all characters kill-able. This makes you more careful with your follower/spouse.

Okay, I better stop. Sorry for the long first rant. Thanks for reading.

1. Mounted Dragon Battles
2. Add sailing as a means of travel.
3. Levitation (as a human)
4. Water manipulation
5. Ability to go Super Saiyan. LOL! Just kidding. ;)

First off let me say that I play on a PC only.
So for a lot of these things that people have mentioned wanting changed in this game. It's already changed through mods on the PC. Food, Companions in what they wear, wield and use mounts in game. Dragons being harder, different. Waters being dangerous from something other than a mutated salmon that just nibbles yah bum.
Get a PC and stop pretending with your PS3's and Xbox's

There are some great points made so I'll not repeat them here and try and list that which I have not read yet.

1) Make superior weapons harder to get. So I ask you, did you even use an Iron sword? How many seconds did it take for you to drop that p.o.s. and pick up a steel sword?
I want to see advancing in better weapons made harder. Getting a steel sword should be a thrilling moment. Dwemer weapons should be found not made. It's a lost civilization.

2) Make superior armor harder to get. "ditto from above" Honestly has anyone ever made or worn Hide armor?

3) Shut off the torches and braziers in ruins. Seriously these should not be lit. Bring a torch, oil, flint and steel to light your way or to light them up. I remember playing AD&D (paper and pencil) and starting a character and buying the basics of rope, torch, oil, pitons for climbing, bandages, etc. If you didn't have these while in a dungeon/cave you were S.O.L. and had to (yah that's right) walk back to town to get it.

4) Death Penalty. What makes you jump in your pants? The fear of dying. Want that Oh Shoot! feeling moment back? Death Penalty. Sure be resurrected, but guess what? your dead body was looted. back to a loin cloth for you. Lost a level of experience? should have been more careful. Permanent penalty to your blocking skill cuz your arm didn't heal right, stamina permanently damaged or perhaps limited to a certain max level. Make me afraid of dying and I'll be more scared. That puts thrill into the game.

I have to agree here. I play on a 360 and the reason I'm contemplating a powerful PC is the graphic enhancement mods. I don't want to ruin the game as some of the mods out there are borderline stupid, but man can Skyrim look unreal on a modded PC version.

Cool idea. It never crossed my mind and makes sense. I just thought the Drauger were afraid of the dark personally.

What would constitute the death penalty?

No. You don't want to leave marks as if you laid a hand on your spouse. Just use a little Fus! Then it's not domestic violence, but a simple shouting match. :D

Awesome! Wait.....you seem to have thought this out too well......

Did you marry Lydia?

No, but in real life I've been married almost 10 years... (No dv ever occurred between us, just a joke)

I know, I went with the joke by bringing in actual marriage, but I'm e-sensitive to those who have been through domestic violence, hence my disclaimer.

Yes, a good Fus! would work wonders in real life, even the bedroom if aimed properly.

I play skyrim on the xbox 360 one thing I would like to see improve is the load times between screens it gets a little long . As for the game play I would like to be able to sell some of homes I have acquired in this game which I hardly ever use like the one in solitude , whiterun , markarth or windhelm , I seem to use the homes I built in hearthfire more and enjoy them alot more . I would like to see more action along the roads of skyrim actual traveling caravans you can attack and loot if you so choose or protect if hired to do so from bandits etc. I would like to see more interaction in marriage in skyrim where you can give gifts of appreciation to your spouse. Horse armor would be a nice addtion too to protect your horse better from attacks or while using it in mounted combat situations . The bugs and glitches in skyrim need fixed along with the ones you encounter in dawnguard and hearthfire . I would of liked to see a female khajiit marriage prospect since my character is a male khajiit as for adopting chilren why not a young khajiit for me to raise to adulthood. The option to fence or sell spare keys you have accumulated would be nice to earn a few extra septims in the game . Skyrim overall is a great game but to me it does get a little boring when you level up and there is really nothing to discover or work for anymore , I work alot and dont have time to start a new character and do things all over again . Hopefully another addon will come out for skyrim so the adventures will continue . We all have wants for skyrim we would like to see included hopefully the developers read some of our comments .

The sell verification system like in Oblivion and Fallout. I have sold an important ring or weapon on accident and had to buy it back for thousands of gold more than I can count.

Movement animations.

Its just to simple, hopefully i find a mod somewhere which gives more animation to moving around. It feels so stale and stiff. It would be much better if it was more 'smooth'

First of all this is a wish list from both my husband and I, who both play, and we are on xbox360 platform.

1. FIX THE GLITCHES! I am at level 69 and my husband is level 77. We both have several glitched quests and, in my case, have stopped progression of quest lines. (IE - Archwind point glitch, dawnguard kidnap glitch).

2. Give xbox users the ability to name potions in alchemy. You can name your enchanted armor why can't we name the potions we create.

3. Shouts should have to be unlocked by higher level dragon souls for each successive word of power. (IE - lower level dragons unlock the first word, higher level the second and highest level the 3rd).

4. There should not be a level cap. If you just have the basic game then it can be capped but when you get an addon you should be able to up your level, especially if they add new trees like were added in dawnguard.

5. Better manipulation of objects. When you pick something up it immediately turns upside down and is extremely difficult to put on a shelf etc. give us the ability to flip it or at least keep it right side up. And if I do spend hours placing objects on shelves or in cases I don't want to come back in my house and find them on the floor!

6. we should be able to adopt more then 2 children. I have all 8 houses in Skyrim plus the Raven Rock house, if I want to have more children I definitely have the room but the game won't let me adopt anymore.

7. have more variety with the hearthfire houses and be able to pick your location from several plots of land instead of just the one offered.

I also agree with the person who said the lights should not be lit in caves etc. and that you should have to eat AND sleep in the game or you loose health and stamina.

For me, I would make the questlines longer, I find the Dark Brotherhood WAY too short. And as I read through some of the answers I agree with a lot of them, main one being leading guilds. I think this would be so nice during the Dark Brotherhood where you have to say go find new people to recruit and get them to join and assign quests to them and things.

Some of the enemies get too hard after you level up a bunch. Oh and the load times between screens. They just get annoying after a while if you're just going around town going in and out of buildings. They probably wouldn't be able to remove it, but if they could make them shorter, that would be very nice.

And I would have to agree with Chowder138 on the verification system. I myself have accidentally sold a couple things that I wanted to keep and either had to load a save or buy it back, very annoying.

And another thing, people should not get mad at you for stealing trivial things, such as plates and cups and an apple... I know stealing is bad, but that's a bit extreme.

#1 Lots of glitches have been patched, and some even correct themself if you just wait in-game long enough. I can't really help since you play on 360. Kudos to you both for getting so high level though!

#3 Oooh. I like and don't like this idea. I don't like it because it'd introduce more dragon glitches, but I do like the idea! Stronger dragons are apparently older than weaker ones, so that makes plenty of sense to me!

#4 The level cap comes from maxing all skills out at 100. Werewolf and vampirelord perk trees are specific to being in werewolf form and vampirelord form; they don't affect the player at almost all times as the vanilla perk trees do.

I'm also thinking that that might break the game because of leveled enemy lists would need to be altered or added to. Not only that, but I'm sure you notice how long it takes to level up when you get real high in skill; if it takes hours and hours and HOURS to level up again, what would be the point?

#6 You might have the room but what about time to give them attention and protect them? That's what I think might be the reason for the limit. I think that if you were allowed to build bigger houses than what Hearthfire allows

Wait, what? I thought the DB questline was one of the longest ones. Or... maybe it was just repetitive, but I remember having no issues with it being short. If anything, I just think that the guild questlines could have been better fleshed out. Some of them (coughdbcoughcough) were really bland feeling.

You leveled up; so did enemies. It's supposed to work that way...

Load screens are dependent on the hardware running the game. To load the game after starting it on my PS3 takes about 3-6 minutes, yet only a minute at the most on my laptop. To remove load screens would require having A LOT of things rendered at the same time. For example, if you ran into Dragonsreach, what you want would require for the game to have all of Whiterun and every inside building loaded AS WELL as Dragonsreach too. That is a serious power munching request. I'm not sure my laptop would even be able to handle that WITHOUT the graphical enhancement mods, and console players and those without a real high end machine probably wouldn't even be able to play the game.

I guess I just find it rather short, probably just me.
