Who are your Travelling Companions?

I just got another one the other day, this guy who wanted to come with me to the eldergleam tree after I got the Nettlebane. But he got killed by a dragon about five minutes after leaving town. So still the most I've had at one time is three, and the most my brother's had is four.

I wonder why Faendal likes the stormcloaks/Nords, any time I attack one he attacks me.

Really? For me it's been the opposite. He always gets mad about killing Imperials and one of the Skyrim wikis said he always sides with them too. My Stormcloak character wishes he had your Faendal!

I'm using Faendal with Eranthor. Probably going to be one of those playthroughs where I only use one follower. Bosmer Bros for life.

I just wish he were a little more talkative and didn't sound exactly like Erik.

I rarely use followers. I tend to act like a wild beast in battle, and they always seem to get in my way, whether I'm fighting a dragon or delving into a draugr filled crypt. It's as if they enjoy being Shouted at. Other times, they're just too daft to rely on. I took Lydia to Avanchnzel for "Unfathomable Depths", but only because Dwemer ruins freak me the fluff out and I needed company. She recklessly charged a Dwarven Centurion Guardian when I specifically told her to stay put, getting obliterated in the process. Doofus.

If I really must have a follower (seriously, Dwemer ruins are terrifying), I'll use Erik the Slayer. The boy is still about as obtuse as other followers, but he comes through for me more often than not. I even made him an honorary legionnaire.

Faendal is a good man Bosmer. He has no tolerance for murder of any citizen of the land. If you kill in self-defense, Faendal will have your back. But if you kill over the color of a man's uniform, he will object.

Not for me, I kill normal people and he's fine with it, on all my accounts, but when it comes to nords, he gets very agro.

ha followers? i have serana as she glitched on my second character and she follows me around everywhere, being essential, barbas always around, along with a stray dog i found and aided killing wolves, then there is derkeethus, who is also essential, and the blades, who are mjoll the lioness, aerin (how does he survive?), j'zargo and aranea ienith, serana usually has a thrall too and i conjure two flame atronachs permanently, i also have frost but its pretty useless against a dragon, saving cash for the storm, since i dont like dremoras either, then odahviing or a legendary warrior shows up, and with bend will, i get a spriggan from the roadside ruins to use leaf slash for me, during totems of hircine, and vilkas' healing, aela and vilkas were also with me and i had an awesome squad, and delphine and esbern did the same for a while

To the people that have multiple followers, how do you even play with so many of them? Getting through doorways must be hell for you, lol.

I have just the one (Cicero) and I find he gets in the way a bit too much sometimes as it is. Sometimes he kills my enemies before I even know I'm being attacked, and in the flurry of battles I often strike him instead of the actual target. Still, he's good company and I like having him around.

I had a stray dog follow me once, but I couldn't bear the thought of him dying for me, he was so cute. I tried to make him invincible with console commands but nothing worked, so I told him to go home eventually.

I recently got this Dark Brotherhood mod, and the two followers that came with it are pretty OP. The girl (Averna) is a powerful spellcaster, and super useful for my assassin, because she turns invisible and will never turn aggro when you're in sneak mode. Only when you're really in trouble and stand back up will she start attacking enemies. She came along for a few quests, but personally, I think three's a crowd so when I finish her portion of the new questline I think she'll be going home. Haven't tried the guy follower yet, but he's supposed to actively perform sneak attacks while you're in sneak mode, which sounds a bit overkill to me - don't need him doing my job.

Marcurio is currently Sulekha's partner in crime and adventure. She's warming up to him because he waits for her cue before jumping into battle. He sneaks with her and will only attack once she does.

Meeko is playing guard dog at Lakeview Manor for the moment.

Honestly, I think one follower is quite enough. Not sure how you all manage with more.

I normally travel with Faendal, but, as of recently, I have begun to love the College of Winterhold Mages! In fact, my latest character just married Brelyna and is running around with Onmund!

Marcurio is my follower as well as husband and he's the best I've found so far. I had t dark elf from Rivenwood for a while before Lydia but he had a tendency to get in my way. Lydia died way early in the first real Companions quest I tried and I lost Janessa at mage college quest where you have to get the books. But with Marcurio I feel so far that I can trust him to take of himself as well as me.

Cicero, because he's really interesting (one of the only followers who comment on your location and has like a hundred things to say when idle), he can't die, and he willingly puts on any armour you give him.

Usually it's just me and good ol' Shadowmere, every now and then I would bring my husband Vorstag alone for a few adventures but he died yesterday while I was exploring. Turned around and couldn't find him...turns out he thought he could take a giant by himself...his fault.
I have Meeko but i'm afraid to take him anywhere and have him ending up like Vorstag.

Anyone have any good suggestions for followers? Preferably someone I don't have to babysit...

Meeko died on me in a dungeon which I can't remember which with Ram-ku, however with Loki the Unlikely, I'm having him visit Solstheim with Esbern, Barbas, and Brelyna Maryon.

On my new character he is kinda like Doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. So when he is Jekyll he has Sven as his follower when He is Hyde Jenassa.

I play with a friend on Fallout New Vegas while where we swap the controls to one or the other every now and then. I play as Hyde, the bad brute while he plays as Jekyll and will help people and take care of raiders and whatever else. It's a pretty solid thing we got going and it's always fun to one moment help this person then the next completely obliterate them. It's awesome to know others try this out as well.
