Your favorite voices?

Hey. My tongue is pretty awesome too! Oh who am I kidding. I lie... :(

I wish my memory wasn't so bad. I can't remember 1/4th of the npc names in Skyrim.

Ooohhh, let me think...

Brynjolf - my character likes to stand around and listen to him call her 'lass.'

Farkas - Gruff and manly.

Vilkas - he has a wonderful lilt.

Ulfric - yummy! Makes my poor little Dovahkiin melt!

.

Yep. I was so pissed when I found out my character couldn't marry Brynjolf.

Yeah, some of the sexiest men and women in Skyrim are unavailable and they offer you poor substitutes like Belrand (in this case, bald is not beautiful) and Uthgerd (fabulous sidekick but yikes!). I wish that Brynjolf and Mercer were both marriage possibilities. Mercer may not be a hotty, but gods I love his voice! I'd have happily killed Karliah for him if it meant I got to keep him.

Also, I think Nazir should have been marriageable. I'm not crazy about him myself, but I've got a few friends who would love to have him as a possibly spouse. Don't understand why none of the Brotherhood or Guild members are available, but nearly all of the Companions are. Ever heard of equal opportunity, Bethesda? Thieves and assassins need lovin' too!

Arngeir (Christopher Plummer) - Over 60 years of acting on screen and stage distilled to the paternal voice of the Dovahkiin's kinder gentler father figure. The first and perhaps only time we will ever be graced with his voice in a game. I hung on his every word during my first playthrough.

Brynjolf (Robin Atkin Downes) - Brynjolf has that archetypal British accent that people like me find charming and charismatic. I have fond memories of Robin as Byron in Michael Straczynski's unprecedented Sci Fi series Babylon 5. It's a shame it never lead to more screen acting parts for him:

Vex (Kari Wahlgren) - Nobody likes a smartass. Well nobody but me :p Kudos to my sarcastic sister in the Thieves Guild who manages to both acknowledge my position as Guild Master and still be smarmy with me in every conversation. As the object of affection for several members of the Thieves Guild she also has some amusing dialogues for those interactions.

Nazir (Eric Dellums) - Okay, I'm severely biased by this one. I just get nostalgic listening to the voice of Three Dog from Fallout 3 through Nazir. It's almost as if I half expect him to break character and give me an AWOOOOO! He has some good dialogues too and his conversation with Babette as he digs me out of ruined Sanctuary made me laugh out loud.

Elisif/Jordis/Sylgja/Ysolda..and over 2 dozen other characters in Skyrim (Corri English) - The omnipresent voice of Corri English deserves an honorable mention for sprinkling the world of Skyrim with a sugary sweet voice that, while often appropriate (Sylgja is one of the most doting and adoring spouses you can get in terms of dialogues), sometimes hides the darker nature of the characters (like Muiri...she's crazeeeeee....). If you like Corri you can check her out as the lead singer for the country band Brokedown Cadillac and as one of the regular cast members on FearNet's Holliston:

Huh, I KNEW I recognized her voice from somewhere! :p Kari Wahlgren has done voices in several of my favorite anime series, and I knew Vex's voice rang really familiar in my ears for the longest time, just couldn't quite place it.

The dragon's voices mostly. I just love how deep and rough they sound, and given the chance, I could listen to them for days. It's sad they only have a few lines in the game...

Paarthurnax - Makes me think of a wise grandfather.

Alduin - Dark. I could just drool at it if I weren't too busy killing him.

Odahviing - It's like whatever he says just rolls off his tongue, especially the 's' sound he makes when he says 'I digress.'

Paarthurnax. And Ulfric. There's just something about his voice, I love it!
And the Battle-Born who goes "You know what's wrong with Skyrim these days...?"

Brynjolf's accent is lovely too

Paarthurnax because he's just epic and even more epic when I found it it's the voice of the Mario characters, Charles Martinet.

General Tullius because it's Doc Mitchell from Fallout NV (Michael Hogan), every time Tulius says something all i think about is Doc Mitchell.

Velehk Sain the dremora pirate under the college of wint and other dremora , because they're the voices of the imperial guard and dremora from oblivion Wes Johnson. I know Wes has other roles in skyrim but I never encountered any that I recognized till Velehk and I was like "Hey! that's the imperial guard from oblivion, lol awesome!" "Stop right there criminal scum!"

Olfrid Battle-Born's voice is the guard from Alladin Jim Cummings and I thought that was pretty cool and weird at the same time cause I'm used to hearing him in old 90's cartoons like Swat Kats. That guy is in everything, he's like the Samuel L Jackson of voice acting.

There have been some good voices mentioned. Here are some additional ones I like.

Males:
Delvin Mallory (His accent is interesting. I don't think there's another NPC with a voice quite like his.)
Cicero (He's creepy. In a good way. He also says the most hilarious things as a follower. xD)
Dremora ("A challenger is near!" Haha their voices amuse me.)

Females:
Aela the Huntress (Strong, yet soothing. To me, anyways. I had one character of mine marry her. :D)
Astrid (Calm, collected, alluring...)
Boethiah (She had an evil queen sort of voice. She sounded like she really didn't give a plops about her followers. She was just using them.)

I also love this cutscene. It's like they put Max von Sydow in a room and just let him act. He also did the epic voice-over in the trailer too, as Esbern. It blew my mind when I found that out.

I found a pretty cool look into the recording studio.

And also laughed aloud at "The men are big and burly and have beards...and the women are big and burly and have beards."

All dragons, and Vezarra I may be biased since DB is mu favorite faction, and argonians my favorite race, but man does he sound just awesome.
Nazir: I love sarcasm, so of course I love nazir,
For whatever reason most female voices sound generic and boring so none there

Best voice in the game is delvin hands down. Paarthurnax is really good too. I feel in the minority here because no one else has mentioned karliah as a good voice. It was her voice that made me trust her personally. Also nazir is a freaking bad as*. * spoiler

Spoiler**
I knew when I went in the db after the fire nazir would be alive. He just can't die. Also babette bc she is an invincible child.

End Spoiler**
