twilight ruined the worlds perception on vampires, count Dracula would rip the little twilight vampires into piecesLook at what Twilight has done to us all! Damn you Twilight! DAMN YOU![]()

that is good
underworld was good but I think they could have done a bit better with the werewolf designs, the way they move did not look normalUnderworld Trilogy > Twighlight (I'm pretending the fourth one never existed)
I agree werewolves would have the edge while the sun is up but then what would happen if the vampire had auriels bow and some bloodcursed arrows, if I were the werewolf I would get the hell outta thereSo let's be sure and have our werewolves catch your damnable vampires while the sun is up. That's even the odds.
Oh wait, werewolf's can summon 2 other werewolf's (brotherhood totem perk) to fight for them so the vampire will still be torn apart even if one is death gripped![]()
Actually, the Amulet of Gargoyles lets you summon two Gargoyle minions instead of one. Gargoyles have 200 in armor rating, do the same damage as the Pack Members, and absorb 5 health per hit. The Pack Members can knock around enemies but can't regenerate their health.
The Drain Life spell behaves in a way like a Fireball,
For Example:
The base Drain Life in VL form does 50 damage to whoever it hits and absorbs 10 health (I may be wrong) to whoever is within the blast radius; at the max tier (Level 46+) the Drain Life does 150 damage and absorbs 20 health. It also costs only 18 Magicka.
The Grip spell you're talking about absorbs 5 health per second but costs 65 magicka per second which gets costly fast, it the VL's version of the Werewolf's knockdown ability (not sure if it works on Giants)
If the VL was taking too much damage they could simply go into their Mist Form to rapidly recover Health, Magicka, and Stamina; or use their Bat Form to travel a short distance away (like Whirlwind Sprint).
Also the summons provide a additional source of Health from Drain Life, however they only have 120 health so they wouldn't last long.
The Pack Members are pretty fun to use and can wreck havoc do to their knock down attack but they have no armor rating and not much health so they would go down quickly.

To counter the affects of the Sun one simply needs to get the blessing from the Lady Stone (Health and Stamina regenerate 25% faster) and to wear the ring of Erudite (+100 Magicka and Magicka regenerates faster, Vampire Lord only). The Mist Form power helps very as well, as the Werewolf wouldn't be able to damage the Vampire for 15s and their Health, Magicka, and Stamina would all regenerate while in Mist Form.
Even without those benefits the VL could still beat a Werewolf while weakened by the Sun; provided there is a fair distance between them (10-15 feet) the vampire would weaken the werewolf considerably with Drain Life and the werewolf has no way of healing itself (unless there were a few corpses around) and would eventually fall prey to the vampire. I am a Werewolf fan but I have tried each form out in different environments (Forsworn Camps, Nordic Crypts, Dwarven Ruins, etc.) and the Vampire Lord shined in every situation (Except Dwarven Ruins, since the Automatons resisted Drain Life.).

Not in Tamriel. In Skyrim you become a Lycan by making a blood pact with Hircine. It's by choice. Vampirism is the disease (Sanguinare Vampiris) where you have no choice and even in the other games it's a disease (Porphyric Hemophilia). Transformation to Beast Form is completely voluntary as a Lycan and you retain full control of your faculties.Because werewolves are basically cursed men with a condition to transform into giant wolves, run aimlessly around and kill everything on sight. Vampires are damned creatures by choice...

you could do the same for the Vampire alsoI agree werewolves would have the edge while the sun is up but then what would happen if the vampire had auriels bow and some bloodcursed arrows, if I were the werewolf I would get the hell outta there

Also if you use the 2 restoration potion + Atronach stone glitch you can make a magic proof werewolf.
Vampires lords do not ragdoll they only stagger for 1 second, try using Unrelenting force on Harkon in his VL form and see what happens then use the same ability on a Werewolf, VLs are immune to ragdolling, werewolves are notOh wait, werewolf's can summon 2 other werewolf's (brotherhood totem perk) to fight for them so the vampire will still be torn apart even if one is death gripped![]()

I doubt a vampire can do any of that when trying to get up or being ragdolled from a werewolfs leap ability. Just gotta make sure they don't get up by just knocking them down.
Just did that with the giant for the cursed tribe quest at lvl 13, one hit from giant and i would of been dead.
Sindig is cursed by Hircine because he stole Hircine's ring. Vilkas never expresses anything to indicate he doesn't have control over his urges. Aela, who is the most comfortable with being a Lycan expresses it as follows:What about sinding from ill met by moonlight? He doesn't seem to have full control over his urges, and vilkas expresses it as well when you first meet him and kodlak no? Plus, the vampirism can be cured, so isn't it technically a choice? I'm just curious.
Kodlak, Vilkas and Farkas want to break their pact with Hircine because they wish to go to Sovngarde in their afterlife and not Hircine's Hunting Grounds but it doesn't change the fact that, like every member of The Circle before them, they voluntarily made the pact with Hircine. It wasn't a disease or curse inflicted upon them..Aela said:Cure? Hah. You're sounding like the old man. I... shouldn't say that. I love Kodlak. I respect and follow him. But he's wrong on this. It's no curse. We're made into the greatest hunters in the land. If he's worried about some mead-swilling afterlife in Sovngarde, he's free to pursue it. I'll take the glories of the hunt right here.
vampirism is a choice when harkon offers it to you, Lycanthropy is not a choice you are forced into becoming one to progress the companions storyline where there is no way to refuse,.Sindig is cursed by Hircine because he stole Hircine's ring. As tx12001 pointed out there is another form of Lycanthropy that is a disease (Sanies Lupinus) but for whatever reason, you can't catch it in Skyrim. (You also don't have to kill as a Sanies Lupinus Werewolf and you maintain full control over your faculties - you take penalty damage to your health if you don't kill while in Werewolf form though). Unless you consider getting sick a choice Vampirism isn't a choice. Tha fact that you can cure it doesn't make it any less of disease than Rockjoint.
That's to become a Vampire Lord, not a normal vampire.vampirism is a choice when harkon offers it to you
You aren't forced into doing it. By your pseudo logic you're forced to become a vampire by Lord Harkon if you want to become a member of the Volkihar vampire clan. It's like saying you were forced into smoking pot because you wanted to look cool to a group of your peers, or you were forced to lynch a black man to be accepted by the KKK. Good luck trying to argue either in a court of law. You join or don't join the Circle of your own free will.Lycanthropy is not a choice you are forced into becoming one to progress the companions storyline where there is no way to refuse.
