So I'm playing Skyrim (PC), and I wonder how to know which quests are impossible at your level?
I'm a level 14 light armour wearing bow + sword/shield character.
I'm given the quest "Find the Source of Power in Valthume" at a much lower level. This leads me to get the Evil In Waiting quest located in the same dungeon. First, the things guarding the wall of power are so insanely hard that even using potions, etc, it takes me 6+ attempts to get past. I mean shout on multiple opponents at my level, what the hell!
Then I go to finish the quest Evil in Waiting. I don't know what level you have to be to kill Hevnoraak, but I can't kill him at my level (and suspect I won't be able to till mid 20s at least). Using potions, he kills me literally before I can cross the room and get to him when I'm running.
So, my question is this: without meta information (out of game acquired information), and without first dying to find out where not to go at what level, how do you know where not to go and what to avoid? It seems the game encourages you to die often by giving you quests at levels which are far too low to reasonably complete the quest.
I have seen some people say that when they die, they delete their character and start over. Unless they had pre-knowledge on what to avoid, it would be impossible to play the game without dying.
