No problem :D And if that doesn't work, right click it and click Delete local files. Some files might have been changed by the mod and Steam will think they're fine. Deleting everything and reinstalling is your best bet in that situation.

I haven't tried actually playing yet, but it did load...which is a far cry better than where I was last night. Suffice it to say, the mod screwed me up, and then I took it one step futher and destroyed my game by deleting files willy-nilly....and the files I had on my cloud got all F-ed up in the process...and yeah, I'm not deleting anything locally unless I know what I'm doing anymore...I've learned my lesson *sits in corner with dunce cap on*

But back on topic, Skyrim is 50% done! I'm debating on recreating my rainbow-coloured Argonian that I started a couple of nights ago, or doing a wood elf and attempting to make her sexy. Hmm....
 
Lol, trying to play the game on my laptop (desktop is downstairs). I turned the few settings the game has all the way up. It lags.

Kind of sad because the game is 10 years old. Oh well.

I think that pirating is -sorta- justified if you like the game and buy it. I mean, if you don't like it, you're not gonna play it. If you like it, you play it, so it's sorta unfair to play it without paying, so why not buy it?

Kinda like a "try before you buy" thing? I can see how that's cool, honestly. I wish I could download trials of games on Steam, TBH.

Yeah. Really, the only game I've done that with is Minecraft, which, as I said, I legitimately bought 2 days later. If you're not sure about a game, I'd say go ahead and pirate it to see if you like it. Just make sure you buy the game if you like it. Far too often, people say "Oh, I'm only pirating it for a little while. I'll buy it when I'm sure I like it and/or when I have the money for it" but never actually buy it.

I'm scared to run a pirated copy, only because I don't want it destroying my machine. I'm pretty heavily reliant on my laptop, I need it for school more than anything, and I don't want someone's bootlegged copy of a game destroying it.

That is another thing. Personally, I'd never trust torrent, and probably not Piratebay either.

Actually I downloaded Skyrim off of Piratebay, and I had no problems with it whatsoever. It went smoothly. I only trust torrents that has a large comment base. Since then I uninstalled the pirated version of the game and got myself the legit version off of Newegg :)
