I had never really thought much of it in the past myself, happily using them as glorified pack mules, keeping all the gains and tossing them an upgrade here and there.
That is until I encountered a book titled "A Hypothetical Treachery" in game... Now I feel a little bad, and somewhat paranoid. How well do you really know your follower? Roleplay wise I'd be more than a little nervous if I treated them like that. Then, thinking back I remember serana has happily started fights, and killed an armored troll and husky that was with us. Also, I seem to recall having bad experiences giving followers staves with fireball. Do you think it was all merely accidental after reading this book?
