I don't know, the idea of going to the alien world of Valenwood kinda throws me off. It's just, it'd feel really wonky and irregular dealing with the walking trees and otherworldly scenery, I loved how natural the world of Skyrim was. I would love to go to Hammerfell over Elsewyr, mostly because Hammerfell really has this swarthy, Arabic feel to it.

I agree with you, now that you mention that. I to crave a kind of crime ridden, slummy looking world with deserts and such that's always moving at a fast pace and always has crime and conflicts.

Yes, and I think that'd be a cool image for an Elder Scrolls game. Think about it, exploring the deserts and rocky outcroppings, making your way through shanties and dangerous slums, seeing ancient redguard architecture. It'd be awesome.

They're great games.... But I think they're too different and unique for elder scrolls. I think it would be unwise for Bethesda to even try to create Hammerfell even loosely based from the Assassin's Creed games. Maybe a similar concept when it comes to the scenery and the look and feel of certain areas would be ok. I personally would like to see a more....Lush landscape, Skyrim is pretty much a barren wasteland, I don't think they need to make two games of barren wastelands in a row. And as far as the continuing story goes.... I don't think Hammerfell or Elswyr would be good choices. They aren't that crucial to the already existing story. The next logical place would most likely be Valenwood, The Summerset Isles, or maybe even another game based in Cyrodiil. And most likely will have something to do with the Thalmor.

I wasn't saying they should try to re-create it at all, just that I really love that atmosphere and think it would be fun to see in my favorite game. Also, I agree with Hammerfell and Elswyr not being important enough. As far as bare, boring landscape, let's just say I've been using mods very freely haha

If you read the books in previous elder scrolls game, the events of Skyrim we're predicted. Every game has been able to be predicted before it came out where it would take place. And Skyrim is no different in giving you clues.

The next Elder Scrolls game is going to take place in Hammerfell and I would be willing to bet money on it.

Lol using mods eh? Can you mod a four-wheeler and drive in the dunes? That would be cool i think :D It's kinda hard to tell where the next one will take place, we can only look at bits and pieces of info we find scattered throughout the latest edition and try to piece them together. But I'm very certain that we have yet to see the last of our bitter enemies, the Thalmor. And in the next installment, they may play a larger, more crucial role in the story line and development of a new quest.

Closest thing to a dune buggy is a really awful car mod that you can drive, but it's always bouncing like crazy, is really slow and start driving away by it's self whenever you get out lol

What clues are you referring to in Skyrim that makes you certain that the next ES game will be in Hammerfell? To my knowledge they dont mention Hammerfell much but they do mention Elsweyr a few times.

Continue the story, why would they do that in the next ES? Sure they will make references to the civil war and dragon's returning, but I am quite sure that there will be a completely different story probably a couple hundred of years later. Think about it they cant really say much on the story because you are the story, like when they mention the oblivion crisis in Skyrim, but they don't mention the fact that one man stopped it all.

Yeah sure they talk about, worship, and even have statues of Tiger Septim. But no mention of the true hero of that era, who just happen to be Arena Grand Champion, Champion of Cyrodiil, Thieves Guild's Grey Fox, Mage Guild's Arch-Mage, Fighters Guild's Master, and The Dark Brotherhoods Listener. But no statues or worship for him. Pfft when I saw Tiger Septim he was killed by some deadric scum without the slightest of resistance, how come he did not use his th'um, hmmm?

Ok rant over...

you know when i was playing oblivion i heard some people talking in the imperial city they said : the legion has sent imperial battlemages to the summerset isles. possible great war clue?

Well I think that if they continue with the Aldmeri Dominion-Empire rematch theme that they are building upon/hinting at in Skyrim it will either be in Hammerfell, the Summerset Isles, or all of Tamriel. In my opinion it would be cool to have Elder Scrolls VI be set in the Summerset Isles with the main campaign being about the Blades vs the Dominion, however High Elves appear to be very unpopular so it'll probably be in Hammerfell.

I'm hoping for all of Tamriel, but the only downside to that would be the amount of time it would take to make a game that massive... It would be worth the wait though :)

If not then second choice would be Hammerfell

Think about it. What was the Dominion's original target in the Great War, it wasn't Cyrodiil. Throughout the game the biggest thing I noticed was that it was hinting that the Empire and the Dominion are a lot closer to war than what they let on. Hammerfell was the original target of the first Great War and if the dominion strikes again I'm pretty sure they are going to try to take Hammerfell first before they attack the Empire again(since Hammerfell is no longer apart of the Empire).

Elsweyr was only mentioned by the Khajiit traders who roamed Skyrim. It sounds like a fun place to go don't get me wrong, but realistically Hammerfell is where the next game will take place, which I have no problem with since I play Redguards anyway. I could MAYBE see Valenwood, but not Elsweyr, Argonia, or the Summerset Isles.

The southern portion of Hammerfel, which the Aldmeri Dominion had origionally intended to invade, was granted to them as part of the terms of surrender under The White Gold Concordant. It has been hotly contested by the redguard of the northern city-states of Hammerfel, who successfully seceded from The Empire after The Great War.

The Aldmeri Dominion has been in a state on-again-off-again war in Hammerfel for about thirty years. They occupy the lower half of the former province.
