America joined the War because Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. Not because Britain invited them

They actually asked the US for help long before the US came in to the fight, but it is very complicated as to why the US did not help at first request (including war profiteering, xenophobia, etc...) but there were events that eventually pushed them over the top and forced the US to get in to the fight in Europe. Of course the US divided their forces on to two fronts, but that's another story. The British themselves, may very well have fallen to Germany and it's allies at the time, but we can't forget that Russia was also a factor here. By the time the US got involved, the Germans were very involved in on the eastern front and had actually given the British some breatihng room. That's not to say that the Western Front was not an integral facet, but, I'm just sayin'. Sorry, I'm a bit of a military strategy geek. I'm not always right, but I do love to look at the stuff.

I would amend that. The US joined the war using the Japan attack as an excuse to do so. Prior to that, public opinion had held the hand of the Government from acting (as usual, public opinion was held in far to high of an esteem) as well as other economic factors (not the least of which was that we - know that I live in the US - were profiting from selling weapons and supplies to both sides). While, of course we were out to take revenge for Japan's actions on that infamous day in Hawaii (you know how we USers love our revenge!), there were many other factors involved there.

Oh! I just noticed the archer up on the platform. He's not aiming at any of the participants, but I notice one of the Stormies is aiming at him. The 3rd is blocked by one of the stormies, yes? Sorry, I didn't even notice them the first time through. Thanks for making me take a closer look.

I don't think that King actually means to sound like a jerk. I think it's in the translation. I could have taken what he just said to me very badly (he basically called me stupid), but, I was wrong so I admitted it and will move on. Of course with Docta, Drunken and Psych out, this thread is going to come to a painful end. Didn't Dag drop a while ago too? I haven't seen her here recently.
