Some guy in the Temple in Whiterun asked to go with me when I went looking for the tree in the sanctuary and I, like an idiot, said yes. He got lost somewhere along the way and now I can't hire a partner. It has been two weeks since he got lost, I've fast-traveled all over the place, went back to the original starting location, back to the sanctuary and nothing. Any hints/tips on how to find him? Or at least 'dismiss' him (without him being present) and hire someone new?
