Question about permanent reanimations

Dude u must have a really cool glitch on your game cuz i have the dread zombie spell and anything i reanimate turns to ash after its time limit expires.

not everything turns to ash upon death my character dident

I've actually used console commands to give myself a spell which lets me conjure dragon priests, problem with it is it makes your conjurations fail half the time, if it weren't for that it'd be a really cool spell. Is that what your using there?

A Staff of Dread Zombies will reanimate a Bear(not Cave or Snow) repeatedly without turning it to an ash pile when the time limit expires.
Find/buy one or make one at Tel Mithryn.

Or you can get Ritual Stone blessing on the Aetherial Crown and do the same thing

The Staff of Dread Zombies(magic weapon) operates differently than the Dread Zombie Spell.
Staff will only raise undead up to level 12 which is much lower than the spell but doesn`t create an ash pile. No glitch.

Scrolls of Dread Zombie will also do this but I didn`t suggest them since they are rare one-shot items and can`t be recharged with a soul gem.

Omg bro i never knew that! Thanks for the heads up! Damn, i just got rid of a dread zombie staff too, didn't think i needed it since i have the spell, oh well shouldn't be too hard to find another.

You can try to use Dread Zombie on a spriggan and search for bears. Then she might enthrall them and after she dies, they stay enthralled by you? This is a so stupid and so genius plan it might work!
