I like these suggestions... especially the inFamous games ;) If you want something that is simple to just pick up and play and will give you hours and hours of happy fun, I also recommend picking up a Little Big Planet game :D

If you are looking for a good arcade racer. Check out ModNation Racers, really fun game plus you can customize everything. Your character, your car, and make your own tracks.

Oh yes, this as well! And LBP2. Pretty fun games after you get the hang of 'em.

I can't recommend the Uncharted series enough! It's the best out there for the PS3 in my opinion.

Far Cry 3 looks to be a good one to get for PS3 alongside some other classics like Mortal Kombat, Infamous, The Bio-shock series, Borderlands 1 and 2. This is but a faction of the many good games that are currently out on PS3. You also have got the choice of downloading some of the best classics titles from PS1 and PS2.

Battlefield 3 and Skyrim are the only games I play now. I have a few games on backlog, but I don't see myself playing them for the foreseeable future. Games I have enjoyed in the past are Warhawk, Burnout Paradise, the first two Assassin's Creed titles, the first Batman title, the first two Uncharted titles, the first Borderlands, etc. PlayStation 3 has a large amount of titles that can be enjoyed. Both by Sony and by others.

I have been playing Xenogears (1999) on my PS3 lately. Storyline is epic. Gameplay is solid. Good translations. 32 bit graphics.

I recommend Journey. It's a short game, but when played online, has one of the highest replay values out of any game I've played. It's beautiful and has an amazing soundtrack as well. :D

The Whole Infamous Series and Uncharted Series, both are PS3 only games, Borderlands 2 or 1 would be a good idea, and Assassin Creed works for PS3 as well (not a crappy Xbox port like many games)

Some that I like.

1. Metal Gear Solid series - My favorite gaming series of all time. Every chronological game, except Portable Ops is available on PS3. The original 2 games from the MSX system are on the MGS3 game. The PS1 verison of MGS1 is on the PSN Store for $9.99. MGS2, MGS3 and Peace Walker are on the new Metal Gear Solid HD Collection disc and MGS4 is dirt cheap now. Metal Gear Rising is coming out soon as is Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeros. Oh yeah! SNAKE!!!!

2. Heavy Rain - this "game" is an interactive psychological thriller. Such a great game and the story is awesome! Definitely one of my favorites. I believe you can get it used for about $16.99 or more.

3. God of War series: No explanation required. Get it, love it and bring chaos to the Gods.

4. Castlevania - Lords of Shadows: This reboot is actually really good. With a completely new story and twist ending, you'll find it refreshing or hate it completely. The game play is like God of War which is one of the main complaints from people, but really, how can any action-adventure, beat 'em up style game ever escape the template of one of the best games of all time? Castlevania LoS 2 is coming out soon as well. Can't wait!

5. Call of Duty: These games are a lot of fun. The Modern Warfare storyline is my favorite, however, I find that once I beat the main story, I don't really pick up the game again. I'm not a huge fan of the Online multilayer but if you enjoy 12 year olds cursing you out and wannabe Marines talking pl*ps, then the Online Multiplayer is for you.

I play Skyrim on PS3 and, although I love it, I have started to run into a lot of bugs recently. Load screens freezing up being the main one. That and the lack of DLC content has made me a bit jaded toward the game. But, I still play it and enjoy my character builds. Obviously, the X-Box and PC is where it's at for Skyrim. If only I had both systems, but since I don't, I'll just wait patiently for Dawnguard.

1. What's with.talking.like this?

2. I don't know why you'd go from PC to console. PC is vastly superior unless yours isn't very powerful.

Anyway, I'd recommend the Infamous games, as has already been said. Batman Arkham City was pretty good as well, but I wouldn't say it's game of the year. Then there're the Assassin's Creed games, a personal favorite of mine. Not very hard, but the chase missions (especially in AC3) are frustratingly difficult.

If you play games for the story, definitely get Mafia 2. That game has a fantastic story and it's set in 1950s (and about the Mafia) so playing it was a blast.

I'd recommend Fallout New Vegas and Fallout 3, but they aren't very easy. At all. Great games though, you should definitely look into them.

I can't leave without mentioning LittleBigPlanet 2. I played that game and its predecessor for years, but their shockingly inaccurate costume DLCs of other games made me a little mad sometimes. Also, don't get the first one. When LBP2 came out, all the people that had enough brain power to scrape two rocks together went there, and left the idiots on LBP1. You'll just get depressed.

Anyway, these are just some games that I liked.

I personally hate PC gaming for certain types of games. Some games just feel better on console others are more suited for PC, but that's only my opinion.

I recommend Alice Madness Returns, Civilization Revolution, Dante's Inferno (NSFW), Darksiders, Demon/Dark Souls, any of the Devil May Cry games, Dragon Age 1/2, Final Fantasy, LittleBigPlanet 1/2, Quantum Theory, Mod Nation Racers, Tomb Raider, Turok, Uncharted 1/2/3, White Knight Chronicles 1/2, InFamous 1/2, Kindom of Amalur: Reckoning, any of the God of War, any Metal Gear Solid game, and a few hundred other decent games.

There are also a fair number of game through the PStore. To name a few:
From Dust, Fat Princess, PAIN, Tokyo Jungle, Under Siege, Castle Crashers, Oddworld: Stranger's Wraith HD, Dead Nation, Echochrome, InFamous: Festival of Blood, and a plops load of others.

Most of the difficulties -and genres- on this list are all over the place, but I find games like SW:FU 1/2 are much harder on PC than console, but as I said, some games are more PC others are more console. DMC will make YOU cry just from how hard the harder difficulties are, but the easier difficulties are much nicer.

BTW, what's your PSN?

You're right about certain types of games being better on console. Third-person games are frustrating on PC sometimes.
