Hey, sorry about the lack of ability to post. I had to rush to school, because I woke up late. Sorry if i stalled the RP! gonna write now, but not sure if il be able to write well (mourning about the death of my frog and fish)

Yes, but that is what happens to RPs. Gradually they become less active, til either they vanish entirely or are reduced to 2-3 posts a day.

To stop this, I suggest getting your bro in and perhaps invite ppl from other RPs.

Well I know my bro wants to work a little more on developing his character before he posts here, but he's off of work today (lucky... I gotta work XD) so perhaps he'll join today and throw ideas around about his character?

Yeah, people loose interest in the RP if it's not kept active and also when other things come up. New games, ME3 is now out and people will be flocking to that. Life gets in the way too.

It'd be nice if we could keep this going but I'd understand if it dies. "Long live the Falmer!"

I don't think we've slowed down to the point where we're at immediate risk of killing the whole thing though. Or, at least I hope not! We've barely scratched the surface of our adventure!

The only reason I haven't been posting is because of wanting to keep our timeline linear. Otherwise I would be a posting machine XD I'm still holding on to the hope that we can pick it up again

Einarr, I have a quick question for you.

I know that your character is able to take on the afflictions of others ( so cool! And I'm glad you saved Geel... I didn't want him to die) but is he able to like... connect with their thoughts/memories/souls as well? It kind of sounds like that, and that's kind of what my bro's character was gonna be able to do... LOL I might have to warn him that he needs to change his character (Wish he'd make a darn account already so I don't have to keep speaking on his behalf ).

Once he gets his butt on here we can talk it out though XD

I'm so impatient to post... gahhh. It's driving me crazy (almost as crazy as Ember )

Well I just emailed him explaining the possible conflict with Einarr's character and telling him that it would be a lot easier if he had an account so he could come on here and I wouldn't have to keep speaking on his behalf XD But we'll see what he does. Like I said, I gave him ME3 last night (late birthday gift) so who knows anyone will ever see him again Hehe

I think we need to flesh out what Einarr's capable of now so we don't start getting conflicting stories going.

Me and geel brain stormed ideas a little wile back and we thought it would be interesting to make him able to tap into other peoples souls and memory's, since his magic draws from his own soul. He can pull memory's from others and use their knowledge for him self. But it has its draw backs, It could lead to him going insane if he does it too often because he has all these memory's of other peoples lives.

Also he isn't really sure how he does it, it just sorta happens. And I've read some stuff about people being worried about Einarr being over powered and here's what i think might even it out. Using spells that solely draw on his will power take a huge amount of energy most likely after he uses it hes out of the fight, at least hes magically out of the fight. And using normal spells buffed up by his will power slowly drain on his soul and take more energy to use.

So he might be a hard hitter but he doesn't have the energy to use his magic for very long.
(edit) Also his own self restraint adds onto it, Hes not a very violent person so he won't just be blasting any thing that moves

LOL Well my brother is one of my best friends. Otherwise I wouldn't have gotten it for him XD

That's gonna be a pretty big conflict then, hmm... Again, I don't wanna keep speaking on his behalf XD Otherwise I would go into the big backstory that he explained to me. But basically he was going to be an old mage who has gone insane from connecting to so many other peple's souls/memories that he doesn't even know which memories are his own and which are from others. (There's an explanation for all of this, but I won't go into it because I'll let him explain).

Anyway, he's probably gonna have to change most of his character's backstory/etc... Hopefully he will join here soon and/or read my email so he can figure out if he still wants to make a new character and join. (Because I'm assuming TWO people who can tap into the souls of others is a bit of a stretch, huh?)

I'll call him after school today and bug him about it XD

Ok I'm wondering if there's any way to salvage this situation. Just got of the phone with my bro and he's kinda bummed... Apparently he already wrote out a really long and detailed backstory for his character. :-/

Its not your fault at all Einarr, it is jusr a sucky situation. I told him he should sign up and try figuring out a way for him not to have to scrap all the work he put into his character. Start brainstorming, people haha. I'll be spending my drive home from work thinking of ideas

There's not going to be an easy solution to this I think. Either the new guy changes or the not so new guy changes. LOL. I'm glad I came up with sort of unique character

My first thought on this is that if Derath doesn't have a real plan for his character and is winging it off the cuff, I'd like to see him modify slightly his ability and use the lore I dug up a few days ago regarding the psijic order and his magic being Mysticism... It would require some digging into the lore and history of the game to learn the way spells worked in the older games. It's completely do able and would play into the "emotional" state of Einarr.

this however is my own opinion and we all know what they are like.
