Morning came sooner than Aliah would have liked. Not that she needed much sleep as a vampire, but the beams of sunlight hardly did wonders for her kind. She moaned in protest at the intruding light, flinging the blankets up over her head to cover her pale golden flesh. The other reason the dawn had come too early for her liking was the group of adventurers that had arrived last night.
Apparently, the Jarl had been very liberal with posting the bounty. She'd be lucky if the coin she had left over from splitting the bounty with all of them was enough to make it halfway home, never mind to Solitude in the first place. She could of course, betray the group, but it wasn't in her nature. Despite being both a former Thalmor agent and a vampire, she was, for the most part, an honest woman.
'I suppose I'd better get up. Otherwise, they'll have left without me, and I'll have nothing' . She rose from the bed, taking care to avoid exposing too much of her flesh to the suns' rays, and dressed in her dark leather pants and shirt, fastened her sword belt, and threw on her dark leather over coat. She opened the door to her room and headed down the stairs, preparing herself mentally for the day to come. She suspected she wasn't the only one that had figured out how many of the inns' patrons had arrived for the sole purpose of eliminating the bandits. It was sure to be a trying event.
