18+ What Lurks in the Dark [V.2]

The two Imperial girls went to meet a pair of fellow Imperials, a hooded man she supposed was a ranger or scout of some sort, and a wood elf woman with a falcon on her shoulder. The older of the two girls offered the bosmer a towel, who took it with a scornful expression. The vampiress frowned, pondering the womans' dislike of the humans. She'd met plenty of Altmer who saw humans as nothing more than insects to be crushed beneath their boots. She wasn't too fond of most humans either. However, if they were going to end up working together, the womans' attitude needed to change.

Shadari noticed yet more people entering the tavern, all of them looking soaked and miserable. The Imperial named Alice, who came off as way to friendly for her own good, and her younger sister approached them and offered towels and blankets. The Khajiit assassin rolled her eyes, but didn't say anything. If the girls wanted to cuddle up to complete strangers, and ended up dead in a ditch somewhere, that didn't bother the assassin in the least. 'I hope this is the last of them. Otherwise, it'll be a pretty small reward' she thought. Deciding to attract the attention of the Altmer woman she'd first spoken too, she called, "Hey, redhead! Are we heading out sometime this year, or what?"

"Hey, redhead! Are we heading out sometime this year, or what?" Aliah glanced up at the Khajiit woman. Normally, she would have been annoyed, being so casually addressed, but she decided against getting into an argument. "We are. I think it would be best for us to leave at first light. I suggest you all get some sleep" she said, turning for the stairs, and heading up them. It was high time she got some rest, and if the others were smart, so would they.

'About time' Shadari thought irritably, flashing a feral grin at the Argonian. She had no interests in him sexually, but he might be a useful ally. And since Blackthorne had escaped, she fund she could use more allies. Temporary, of course, but still useful. "Well, good night, Bright. See you in the morning" she headed up the stairs, and chose a room, that she'd already paid for in advance. She stripped down to her fur, stacking her armour neatly on a nearby chair.

Elizabeth listened to the girls questions. "Well, yes, I suppose it is true. And yes, I used to work in a tomb. I came to Skyrim on a..pilgrimage of sorts, I guess you could call it" the Altmer woman in the long leather coat with red hair began speaking, notifying the group that those planning on heading to the bandit camp in the morning should get some rest before heading out in the morning. She stepped past the two girls, heading to the innkeeper to purchase a room. "Arkay bless you" she said as she left their company.

Morning came sooner than Aliah would have liked. Not that she needed much sleep as a vampire, but the beams of sunlight hardly did wonders for her kind. She moaned in protest at the intruding light, flinging the blankets up over her head to cover her pale golden flesh. The other reason the dawn had come too early for her liking was the group of adventurers that had arrived last night.

Apparently, the Jarl had been very liberal with posting the bounty. She'd be lucky if the coin she had left over from splitting the bounty with all of them was enough to make it halfway home, never mind to Solitude in the first place. She could of course, betray the group, but it wasn't in her nature. Despite being both a former Thalmor agent and a vampire, she was, for the most part, an honest woman.

'I suppose I'd better get up. Otherwise, they'll have left without me, and I'll have nothing' . She rose from the bed, taking care to avoid exposing too much of her flesh to the suns' rays, and dressed in her dark leather pants and shirt, fastened her sword belt, and threw on her dark leather over coat. She opened the door to her room and headed down the stairs, preparing herself mentally for the day to come. She suspected she wasn't the only one that had figured out how many of the inns' patrons had arrived for the sole purpose of eliminating the bandits. It was sure to be a trying event.
