From what I've seen on the internet, followers bugs are pretty common ;/ Although most of them simply gets lost during following and come back to the place where were recruited or to the players house. I'm afraid my problem is a little more serious.
I've bought a dog to follow me, then after some time spent together i told him to wait for me in the collage. I kindla forgot about that and later, when i wanted to take an npc with me, he said that i've already got somebody with me. I went back to the collage, but the dog was gone. I checked in the place when i bought Viligance, and there he was, but no interaction was avaible. I even tried to buy a house, hoping there he will appear... but he didn't.
I tried a console command "placeatme <his id>" but nothing happened.
I've already lost hope, I can't get anyone to follow me ;(
Any idea how to fix this? I was thinking about typing in console command that would remove me from the followers faction.. I know the command- addtofaction <faction ID> -1, but I don't know what should I type in the ID. Actually I don't even know if this would work.
So please, help ;(

Ok, I tried to buy the dog and it worked, I bought him back, let him go and still, potential follower npc's don't want to go with me. I did a little more research on the internet and from what I understand, dogs don't count as a normal follower. It makes matters even worse, because I don't recall taking any other companion with me... ;S So the question about reseting my follower status is still current
