I have never seen The Stormcloaks orchestrate an exiling of all Elves, besides Thalmor, before. But I could see how a Dunmer would see the position his people are in in Windhelm, and have that sway his feelings on which side he chooses in the War. That could paint that picture However you have to really think that in order for it to stay in your mind. I mean one Racist in Windhelm isn't an entire Army's view or policy.

It isn't just one person in Windhelm, every Stormcloak Guard or Hold Guards aligned to Ulfric are more threatening to Elves and use racial slurs for Khjaiit and Argonians. There is more to the Stormcloaks than the army, but if both the army and political side are more hostile towards you in attitude... It isn't exactly going to inspire other races to pick up their banner going "Which way boss?"

My Dunmer ended up with the Imperials.

The Stormcloaks kept talking about kicking elves out of Skyrim, I thought they were originally talking about the Thalmor because they mentioned "their bloody Justiciars". Then my character was blamed for the Great War, the Talos ban and the Justiciars by the would be Stormcloak Jarl of the Reach. It made me wonder if they even make a distinction between the different elven races.

Also didn't exactly help when Galmar's brother had this to say about Dunmer:

"Those Thalmor are elves, too. I bet they're working together. Maybe I should round up some men and take us a few prisoners to interrogate."

It is starting to paint the picture of "No matter what type of Elf you are, you're Thalmor to our eyes."

The Empire may have tried to execute me by mistake, but at least it wasn't because I was an Elf.

He's still connected to the highest leadership in the Stormcloaks, and in his own mind acts upon their behalf threatening Dunmer with torture or worse. The city guard do nothing, there is no mention from Ulfric or Galmar that they disprove of his actions, no letters of warnings etc.

If Ulfric can't keep the peace right outside his palace, then what right does he have to rule the country? They say Elisif is inexperienced, but if Ulfric's city is his experience? Then he is one of the most crap rulers in Tamriel. His Steward doesn't do anything official, so who is ruling the city? Even the retarded Jarl in Falkreath has his Steward doing things.

Galmar's brother may not be a Stormcloak, but the Stormcloaks certainly aren't doing plops about his activities. I judge a ruler by how their kingdom is doing and at the moment... Ulfric has the most depressing, oppressive and racially discriminating Hold in the Nine Holds. That has to say something about his ruling ability.

Hell Yeah I did, and it's absolutely amazing! It brings what was supposed to be in the original Civil War and brings it back. Hell, I've been ranting about it for about a day now. Gotta try it man by far my fav mod of all time

I've been trying the Civil War questline with the mod, and am very impressed with all that the modder had added back into the game. I guess I am also shocked that Bethesda removed a good portion of the questline, stream lined it for what ever reason, and called it good.

So do the Imperial Guards though. Its just because they're Nords not Stormcloaks. What do you think if the Empire suddenly takes over that every Nord will just take up their doctrine and just treat The Elves with respect? NO! of course not! Nords Hate Elves because of the Night Of Tears

yeah, I do like the changes apart from going into a Stormcloak hold as an Imperial and getting attacked on sight. I can understand if I was wearing the Imperial armor, but I don't understand why they are still aggressive when I am not wearing Imperial armor. Had to wipe out all of Riften's guards just to get to Esbern.

As far as Ulfric being the most crap rulers in Tamriel... I object to this. Ulfric may not win the best Jarl award, at least he isn't corrupted by wealth. He doesn't let the most wealthy individual control him like you see in Markarth and in Riften, and he isn't lazy by making his Steward practically run his hold like you see in Solitude.

Your judgement is corrupted by your own bias opinions. You are an Imperial supporter and an Empire lover. You think inside the box, and refuse to explore the beauty of what is given to you from the outside. You are blind by what you see. If you think for a moment that the situation in Windhelm out beats the current situation in Markarth... Then by Talos I need a drink so I can understand your logic. How can you sit there telling me that Windhelm/Eastmarch is the "most depressing, oppressive and racially discriminating Hold in the Nine Holds" when Markarth is by far worst when slavery is being practice. Is the treatment of the Dunmers and the Argonians considered to be far worst than what goes on inside Markarths slave prison? Many of the Bretens are being forced to join the forsworn because of the unfair treatment that they get in the Reach, and land owners are bullied (Sometimes murdered) to sell their lands.

But isn't Ulfric's steward inexperienced in regards to his job? I've heard him say that Ulfric values his untrained opinion from time to time. But Drunken Mage does have a point about Windhelm being one of the most "depressing" cities in all of the nine holds, though I usually chalk that up to the age of the city. Personally, I myself have wondered what Ulfric would do with the Grey Quarter after the war, though that aspect is never looked into by Bethesda like they did with Ulfric's replacement does.

I guarantee if you looked hard enough you would find they were the same. The guard dialogues don't change that much. And even if they are more "respectful" Their still telling them to Stay out of Trouble (Insert Race Here) as apposed to "What is it Kinsmen?" or "Staying safe I hope"
