Hey guys

Sooooo I've been talking to my brother about our RP, and he's expressed interest in joining, but I don't know if we already have too many people. If it helps, he is a really creative writer and is pretty well-versed in Skyrim lore.

He just emailed me asking if he'd be able to join, how often he'd have to post, and what type of character we would be looking for. What should I tell him? I think he'll understand if the answer is no, but he seemed really interested when we were talking about it.

Oh, but a con would be that he wouldn't be able to post everyday because of his work schedule.

Anyway, let me know so I can get back to him! I'm having lunch with him and his wife tomorrow so I'll be seeing him.

Well, I'd like to see a seasoned mage on our team. Right now we have two noobies at the arcane.

Also, I feel like we might kinda have lots of magic-y folks, especially Geel and Einarr (in terms of using magic in battle. At least, I'm assuming Einarr would, eventually) But Einarr is a n00b like you said XD And Ember uses magic too but she's nothing special.

Geel is probably the most experienced, but now he's got all his drug issues haha. So maybe you do have a point. Hmm...

I'll at the very least say "anything but an assassin"

Also, turns out that my brother ended up having to work today, so I'm not seeing him after all Haha, just my sis-in-law. But I can still reply to his email (or call him tonight when he's home). But I want more input before I tell him anything.

Well when I see him (assuming things don't change yet AGAIN ) I'll see what kind of ideas he has and maybe convince him to make an account so he can bounce ideas around with you guys.

Or maybe he'll be struck by inspiration and just make a character XD

He is an old hand at D&D RP-ing so I'm sure he can come up with someone interesting (and he was relieved when I explained that we don't keep track of hit points or anything haha)

I think he likes magic-y characters so the Mage researcher idea might work.

I just got a great idea.
It's a bit.... odd, but definitely possible.
Let's say we think that not all Falmer are bad to the bone, so perhaps his character may want to be one? that would fit in with the plot quite well lol. We can say his character was horrified of their leader plans, so decided to join us or something.

But would a Falmer be sentient enough to communicate/speak to us? The way I see them is kind of like mindless monsters.

not to mention they were in fact snow elves lol

Okay, I just posted anew. As I was typing it up a wicked and interesting thought occurred to me. Einarr's magic isn't necessarilly evil.... but OLD magic... not seen in a LONG time... and practiced by the Psijic Order. Check out the lore pages for the Psijic Order and the magic they call Mysticism! In particular on the mysticism page this part:

Discussion within the Order of Psijics after Artaeum's reappearance has led some scholars to postulate that Mysticism is less spiritual in nature as was originally supposed, and that either the intellect or the emotional state of the believer is sufficient to influence its energy configuration and flow.

This fits SOOOO perfectly to Einarr. So, I made the divines appear to Geminus and tell him about it, sort of.

I love finding Lore that can be used in the stories!
