Hi Nordic.
roleplaying is an advanced way to play skyrim.
My money. My game. My time. My way. nuff said ???
What do you mean people have different ways of doing things??Which most people don't use at all , sadly.
I will tell you what i think... I think you are an assHello there folks.
I've seen the progress of Skyrim since it's release and I really must say one thing , don't take this as another whine or something like that , I really feel that I must tell this.
It's so sad seeing the way people play the game , everyone shouts at me "PEOPLE CAN PLAY THE WAY THEY WANT" , but really.
What I mostly see in videos and comments are "LOLZ! I can one-shot legendary dragonz with my super magical daedrik daggers when I'm level 81 !!" , or I see people who enter their inventory and take 15 potions one after another and then change their whole armor in the middle of the fight.
Seriously , this is a ROLE-PLAYING game !!! , why do I see 5 normal people who are Role-Playing and the other 50,000 who take this game as CoD ?
The way people play does matter , after Bethesda see how people play TES they will remove EVEN MORE complex systems , " Oh hey you don't want story ? OK! here have level 200 cap ".
Tell me what do you think.
You have no logical basis to assess what percentage of people are playing the game one way or another. In the first week alone Steam detected over 230,000 users playing Skyrim concurrently. That's exclusive of those that were playing without a live Steam connection and all the Xbox and PS3 players. Over 10,000,000 copies of the game have been sold so a sampling of a few dozen Skyrim videos on Youtube won't allow you to draw any kind of intelligent conclusion about how the game is being played. In general using videos from Youtube is a horrible way to assess how the player community is playing the game as, for the most part, no one makes roleplaying videos because there's no audience for such vapidly boring subject matter for video. It's so sad seeing the way people play the game...
You must be playing a special version of Skyrim because there's no forced third person in every corner of the game. Third person view, by the way, is an option that's typically only found in roleplaying games. There's a reason why the genre of games like Call of Duty are called First Person Shooter games.Oh wow how stupid I am , I really forgot about this one , but you know , Bethesda saw that the players of Oblivion in Europe ( poll I guess ) were mostly playing in third person.
And what we got in Skyrim ? Forced third person in every corner.. ( True Story )
"The way people play does matter , after Bethesda see how people play TES they will remove EVEN MORE complex systems , " Oh hey you don't want story ? OK! here have level 200 cap "... I really don't think that would ever happen. As you said, this is technically an RPG; I don't see Bethesda saying "Oh well! Let's throw all the rules out the window." They'd have a lot of angry RP'ers on their hands.
It's a legitimate strategeeeeeeeeeeee......When I play Call of Duty (and, yes, I have played this), I disagree with people who camp in the corner and snipe me.....
ANOTHER RVB FAN!It's a legitimate strategeeeeeeeeeeee...
I have actually read a couple of this persons threads, just to see why he has so many bad reps, and what i have read brings me to only one conclusion.
I dont think this person has actually got the game. i think he just watches youtube and comments only on what he sees, not on what he knows.
