Private The Magnificent Endeavour

"Well, that was easy enough. Er....beside's the rotting corpse that smeared tainted blood on my clean blade's." Holo said with an irritated tone. "Let's get this over with so I can get my gold, and drink till I pass out." She said as she followed Ozan.

Zaia follows Ozan as he leads them through the area. WHen they reach the cliff face , she examines it p and down "It looks completely normal" she slides her hand across it "is this were our treasure is?"

Reg perks up at the the mention of treasure. "I hope so," he says. "But what's so special about that rock, Ozan?"

"Consider this... a marker. As we proceed down this path, more should appear. Strange, Ozan assumed it'd be more off the beaten path. There should be more!" The Khajiit begins running down the path, full of excitement and carelessness.

Reg crouches down to examine the rock further, until Ozan began running ahead. "Ozan, wait! We should stick together!" Reg calls as he watches the cat get farther away. Out of the corner of his eye, Reg sees something strange moving in the distance. "OZAN! LOOK OUT!" Reg yells, and begins running full speed to catch up.

((Stupid... stupid phone...))

Ozan slides to a sto, looking back. "Eh?"

"Ozan?" spoke a voice from the darkness.

The Khajiit slowly turns to the noise. "Yes? Does this one wish for Ozan's attention to be split entirely?"

"No, no... rather, it's more simple," says the voice. From a crevasse in the terrain, an Imperial Legionaire steps out, clutching a wound beneath his steel uniform. "You're a murderer and a scoundrel. If I had any blood to spare, I would take you and your associates under arrest. However, I find myself... in a nasty situation."

Ozan paused, slowly approaching. "Assuming the Colovian had blood to be spilt, under what charges would Ozan be arrested? What charges for his comrades?"

"Murder, treason, and theft from his Emperor's army. Your friends under association, nothing too fancy. However, at this point I'm willing to temporarily overlook such crimes."

"Ozan would imagine why... Khajiit wonders a question... Legate is it?" the Imperial rolls his eyes, a smirk resting upon Ozan's face. "That shall suffice as an answer. Ignoring that, Legate... why are you here? Why not confront Ozan at his camp, before a group was gathered?"

"A deal... a Bosmer said you'd be here. We simply had to provide some support. I volunteered."

"Volunteered? Ozan has just met you. Yet the Colovian hides and frightens Ozan's Nord. Possibly his Bosmer as well."

With a heavy cough, blood flowing subtly down his lip, he glares at Ozan. "You took someone dear to me... someone who meant the world to me..."

"A lover? Strange, Ozan does not murder, especially the beauty of young mistresses..."

"You slit his throat near Morthal..."

Ozan blinks confused. "Ozan sees... well, this is awkward. Khajiit appreciates forwardness... Pity that. What is your name, Colovian?"

"Quintus Tyrannus..."

"Good... Khajiit would prefer the Legate to survive this encounter. However, Ozan shall let the comrades decide." He turns to the party. "Ozan wishes to hear the opinions here. All three. Do not do anything until it is decided."

"Kill him! I'd rather not have Imperial scum on our trail." She crossed her arms and made a sound of disgust.

"hmmm....he could be useful as bait or a scapegoat..." suddenly, something clicked in zaia's mind. "Waitaminute. Quintus Tyrranus? Your partner was Holdjar black-wolf, a legate was looking for-by the nine Ozan is a class-B criminal!"

"Theres was a series of robberies. Hofjar was said to be looking into it when he was found dead." zaia tilted her head and examined the wound. It looked like some one rubbed powder glass on him. "what happened to you?"

"So what if Ozan is a criminal? I have a huge bounty on my head in Cyrodiil, I'm an assassin and a thief. I don't see you making a big deal about that. Let's just kill the Imperial, I grow weary of this."

"Probably because we didn't know you were wanted in Cyrodil. But it doesn't matter- and neither does Ozan's 'criminal' past. What matters is that we keep moving- either after we killed this guy or taken care of him not coming back to haunt us."

She placed her hands on her hips. "So, word hasn't reached Skyrim yet. Lucky me! Now let's get this over with before he calls more of his Imperial pigs."

"And just a healthy dose of paranoia. Though Ozan killed a man, it wasn't became of thievery. Rather, Ozan enlisted within the Legion and was given expensive armor, a legate to answer to, and an excuse to flee. He stole only a single artifact, from the Legion, and then killed the Legate." The Khajiit shrugs. "Ozan os not a wanted thief. Just a devious traitor."

The Legate spits out some blood, speaking without fear. "So am I dying today?"

"Well..." Ozan pauses momentarily, thinking. "His colleagues would wish that... but they aren't sought after. You shall bleed. This shall suffice for Ozan. Should the Legate live, well that's outdated luck. Have fun..."

The Legat glares at the Khajiit as he leaves, Ozan walking with an arrogant demeanor away from the situation.

((Sorry, my phone is being stupid.))

Zaia watches Ozan walk away for a few seconds before shrugging at the Legate, then following behind him. "uh..hey Ozan...quick question...while you were in the legion, did you ever find a...varla stone, by chance?"

Ozan stops abruptly, turning around slowly. "A... what?" He blinks, clearly confused.

Zaiai sighed. "Varla stones are found in Aylied ruins. I've never actually seen one, and it could probably help my research."

He shrugs. "If there are such things, it may not be there. But, it might be. Ozan doesn't know."
